So what did you do to your 928 Today......

Was a pretty busy day here. I got the front of the car up on ramps, chocked the wheels and started working on taking apart the AC compressor. Because it was bad, system would not hold a vacuum for more than an hour and 150psi max. The old compressor was covered in oil, grime, filth, etc. Finally got it cleaned enough, off the car, then with the wonderful 27mm wrench got the fittings and hoses off. No clue how you can tighten the front and rear compressor bolts with the belt on and brackets. But anyway....
With the compressor off I found all seals were black (R12), so swapped them with green (R134a) after cleaning and oiling the seals. Took the fittings off the old compressor, cleaned them up, used the seals with the new comrpressor to seal them, then pulled the schrader valves (two of those, both black) and replaced the valves with proper and oiled R134 ones. Hooked the compressor up to check pressure, held 20psi test for 2 hours, then I vacuumed down to -30 and it's holding vacuum after 8 hours.
Time to mount the compressor (it's on a jackstand now) then figure out how the hell I am going to get the bolts out of the double bottom to mount the condenser and re-mount the fan. Then might be time to oil and charge the system.....

Toped off the AT fluid without lifting the car... With the bottom part of a turkey baster attached to the upper hose of cooler.
If you are going to do this, have a small container to catch the AT fluide coming out the top when you remove the hose...
You can accelerate the process by blowing in the baster.

Fitted new EBC YellowStuff all round, and with my GF's help flushed the fluid with new ATE Typ200, sadly the ATE Racing Blue is no longer available
The Cup II really do show off the calipers, still getting used to that after so many years with 16" Slots
I can see why people are concerned about the caliper cosmetics now, at least the rears look OKish

S2 with GT Transmission
We did the same combo in my new streetracer! She goes fantastic! S2 Engine and g28 55 are a match of heaven! First gear --> 6000 rpm, shift, 4000 to 6000 shift and so on! .-)

I won't be near Hamburg (beautiful city despite our best efforts to flatten it), but I will be in Adenau in a couple of day's time
I'll be sure to post some pics, and hopefully some video if all goes well
The car has recently been aligned, and the brakes have just been serviced, so now I'm just hoping for good weather

In your best efforts to flatten Hamburg you flatten our farm in 1943. There was a big thunderstorm over Hamburg and the crews throw the bombs on the return to base away. Nobody was harmed and we got new barns! ( The Administration had Barns for the places in the east but war was lost!)

I heard from the guy who's babysitting my P-Cars while I'm in Oklahoma. Everybody was started and got some light exercise. No problems with Stitch, which is honestly kind of a surprise, consider the skill level of his regular mechanic.

Looked up a number of parts, ordered some. Tick as appropriate to your own experience:
- things I didn't know I needed yesterday (clutch slave)
- things I could have added to the order I have just made (but that's ok as there will always be the next one)
- things that are NLA
- things that are ££££!
- confirmed the forged wheels on the GT are original
- binned the old tyres based on age not wear
- tried to remove RDK sensors before the Kroil arrives

Well, not today, but over the holiday weekend I did take time to do some stuff.
1st goal was to fix broken DS door handle, also fix window rattle, and inoperative remote mirror switch, and loose arm rest hinges. I had the parts I needed for the door handle, the mirror switch issue was just a loose connector, window rattle was due to a worn lower guide, (used the zip tie trick to shim it), I have "newer" guides, but, I'll save them for next time.
...got it all done, cost no money!, also discovered a broken speaker connection, and repaired that.
