So what did you do to your 928 Today......
#16
It was 75 today so I replaced some relays, cleaned the relay board, replaced the doorlocks and took some tar off the passenger side.

Nothing to mine, looked at it up on the lift when i went in the garage for a screw driver....
.....oh no! You're lucky if nothing got fried jump starting a 928! Especially someone from the local gas station who contracts with AAA....

Finished
Finished off the garage space today that the 928 is going into when it comes back from paint-hopefully next week. Space used to look like the bottom pic. T

Thankfully it was a decent portable start unit that basically is a battery. Just needed a little gas and away it went-turned over-no dash messages.

Finished cleaning my underside, and finished painting the rear wheel wells. Cleaned the brake lines to the rear, and the battery cable and clips. Reassembly starts tomorrow!

Replaced the MAF in Murano and finished cleaning and rebuilding the steering rack for Saudi. I was hoping the postman would deliver the rack boots from Roger but no such luck. They must have been stuck in the snow in Texarctica.

Your experience has helped me to decide that I better keep all that stuff and just stash it in the attic. If I ever sell my car (or if we ever get those draconian regulations here), I'd like to have all that stuff available to reinstall.
I really feel sorry for you and other people who have to go through this periodic uninstall/reinstall crap. What an absolute waste of time.
Oh... and as to "what I did with my 928 today": nothing. It's been sitting there unused since before Christmas since we were gone for a couple of weeks and then the weather has been crappy much of the rest of the time. So... I guess you could say it's on life support for awhile.

Decided the broken CPS must be approached from below, which is not easy with this exhaust system.
Bell housing is blocked by headers.
Header bolts are blocked by rack.
With rack out, means that I might as well pull the crossmember to replace MM and OPG, since they need it.
In the process, discovered a broken, heat soaked clutch line and a bad steering universal joint.
Separately, embarked on rotor change, which turned into front wheel bearing & seal replacement. Good thing is the spindles are ok.

This started as a "simple cleaning of the grounds" two weeks ago.
Scope creep. But I'm glad its getting addressed. It is becoming routine, though.
Collected all the blue fluid from the clutch without spilling a drop.
Then knocked it over and got completely soaked in blue stuff.

Removed the passenger side front wheel, fender liners, and front cover, and finally installed the LED bulb and new side marker seal on that side. Did some cleaning while I was in there.
Weeks ago, I did the same on the drivers side. But I never had enough time or motivation to do the passenger side. Today's 75F / 24C Degree weather was a good motivator.
It also motivated me to order the parts needed to reseal my AC compressor.
