Yesterday actually. Dumped in another can of 134a refrigerant. High side now +245 inHg. Blowing nice and cool now. Radiator and fans working well never going above 190 F on hottest days in traffic.

Beginning of last week I had my master brake cylinder replaced along with new brake pads all round.
Today I picked up my newly powder coated replacement wheels for my S4 - a set of boxster wheels I got off RL. First quick snaps of them installed.

Wait till you see them in person Bri, they look GREAT! It was great PC work by Ben on those! I think Grant might get his Cup I's done by Ben too...it is cheaper than having them painted!

I used my '92 GTS to whip up on a C6 Vette for a little bit... Damn my GTS's are fast! Also ran pretty close along with a friends '04 GT3! That car is about 3000# and is rated right at 400hp, but he couldn't walk away from me. He was as impressed as I was actually! At some point I think he is going to add a 928 to the garage to keep the GT3 company!

Finsihed this little brake overhaul project on Friday. Calipers rebuilt. New Goodridge hoses. New rotors spray galvanized and painted silver to match the wheels. Did a good vacuum bleed on the system. focusing on getting air out of the ABS block. The symptoms are the same ones that Nicole noted a few years ago on her S4. MUCH firmer, higher pedal now, especially after bedding the pads during a morning run on Angeles Crest Highway early this morning.

Still need to add some loom/sleeve on the front hoses below the transition bracket, so they don't touch the frame rails. Otherwise the results are excellent.

BTW, PBR ceramic street pads are from 928 International, replacing 12yo 65k half-worn Axxis metal-masters. I -may- opt for a bit more rear bias with a fatter bias valve, since the rear pads were barely worn at all. I was able to save and reuse the original wear sensors and retractor pads.

Replaced the passenger side window guide...the triangle..got it first trY!

J/K.

Also replaced all accessory belts with Porsche. Elminated more uncool noises from under the hood. The Power Steering hose was very nearly separated.

Hood release cable remains, ran out of gumption once I narrowed it down to the cable itself rather than the handle assembly. Oh, and A/C.

Diagnosed and repaired a new (as of yesterday) Central Locking Malfunction. It is now a former Central Locking Malfunction.

Changed the hood shocks, put in a new to me bolt at the top-back of the intake, changed the pinch bolts, installed new L and R fog lenses, and put in a new clutch slave cylinder.

Fixed a non-working 4-way seat switch. Swapped out the driver's side switch the other day with the passenger side - good news - motor works. Pulled the switch apart (inside a gallon freezer bag since I read here the springs and ***** and go flying). Nothing went flying - the factory grease had turned to a thick brownish red paste. Cleaned everything out, checked continuity for broken wires. Cleaned up the contacts a bit, added a touch of fresh dielectric grease and reassembled (just set the toggle on a table upside down, inserted springs - put metal ***** on top of springs and pressed the body on - snapped right into place). Hooked up a little 1.5v battery to the red and brown pins and tested that I am getting voltage on each position - yay - it seems to be working. Just have to put it back in the seat tomorrow. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics - but easy project.
