You guys in the US are lucky.... UK premium unleaded (97-99 Octante ) is approx £1.35/litre or equivilant of $8.50-9.00/gallon. A massive chunk of that goes to the government and fuel duty is set to rise again later this year

Stone smashed the for light lense on the drive to work this morning, it's going to be one of those weeks methinks!

Id rather pay more to have a decent mass rail system like I use from Gosport to central london everyday when I make my trips there for work...rather than the drive.

928 content:

Im about to drive to work on roads with the quality expected from a lack of fuel taxes to repair on a regular basis.

So how tough was it to replace the felt? Any special "gotchas" you need to look out for when doing this. My felt has gouged my window tint so I need to replace them.

Pretty straight forward.

Remove inner door panel.

Remove inner window sill seal (it just pulls off).

Now you can access the felt guides.

Remove old felt and use a good wheatherstripping glue or contact cement to install the new felt.

I bought a small sheet of nice thick felt at Home Depot in the fasteners/picture hooks/furniture glide pad section and just cut pieces of the corresponding length and width.

Fired up the monster with the open headers and woke up the neighbors. Noticed a slight leak at the oil cooler - snugged up the bolt that holds the hoses in place and not it appears to be happy. Need to get it to the exhaust guy later this week.

drove my son to his scout meeting at the new police station for a tour...

The shark got LOTS of attention from the scouts, their dads, and the officers on hand..

not sure if that was good or bad.

What's suspect the motor, moving gears or did you just brake the glass?

Had to read this a couple time to figure out what you were asking.

The plastic tabs that connect the motor to the mirror glass assembly are broken. Need to replace the motor. I have one on hand, just need to figure out easiest way to do it.

Will be interested what happens on yours Randy. I have a new piece of glass I've been trying to install ... my glass assembly seems stuck to the motor or whatever ... turned the little toothed part clockwise but it won't let go of the glass ... those little tabs are really hanging on for some reason ...

Arrow More alignment adjustments... Rear this time

Working on rear wheel alignment today, trying to get rid of the slight tendency to the right shoulder without cranking up caster on the left front. I haven't payed attention to rear toe enough, according to the measurements, but more important is getting the two sides to match. (!!). Too much total toe in the rear, and the two sides not the same. So I cleaned up the adjusters, set the lasers to 'stun', and got them both dialed in just perfect in less than 20 minutes. Time for a test drive, and re-attack the front adjustments if needed. Odd part of the exercise was that the left rear was toe'd in more than the right, yet the car still tended right. I hope the test drive doesn't prove that the factory tweaked the rear alignmnet to make up for something in the front. Film at eleven, after I get the suspension settled again.

Dr Bob,

I'm interested in your findings I may have the same issue but don't have time to investigate it myself right now.

Sound like you are using you two lasers at the same time (are they HF if so what model #) what do you mean by 'stunning them.

Thanks HK

I'm looking for one of the white racks/gears with teeth on them that makes the in out movement for the mirror glass I think one or two teeth are missing from the rack are these available as parts or should I do a tooth implant?

Good luck with yours
