I thought your GTS was my favorite 928 color, we have some competition.

Funny thing is I normally hate blue cars.

Default Green or Blue ?

The pic in the middle was taken indoors this morning under mercury lighting and does appear to have more blue in it. The pic on the bottom was of our recently sold Jet Stream Blue 08 Corvette, and was close to what we were after. We just wanted a little more green this time around and there is your result, blue-green, or is it green-blue? The pic on top was taken outside in natural light last week and appears to be have more green in it. Just depends on the kind of of light hitting it and at what angle. What a huge difference lighting can make. Intially this job was to take approx 3 weeks. After a good sit down with Larry about what was required for this job, re: deleted items, paint car apart ,super quality paint application, we knew 3 weeks was going to be out of the question. We then asked Larry to take his time and do it right, and he was in total agreement. Glad to hear all like the new color because the inners are being painted later this afternoon. T

A gorgeous car like this should have the power to match. 345hp would be too weak in today's standard. Give it more juice and make it a real bahnstormer.

Tony, I was thinking the same thing... Come on Steve, HP...what are you talking about?! Unless your NSX is S/Ced! LOL!

Tony, that color is SO SWEET! When are they going to paint EURO85 for me? Can I afford them even?! LOL!

Yes, my 1994 black coupe had Comptech headers, exhaust, supercharger, JDM Type-R short gears and R&P. It had about 370hp at the crank and it was a VERY quick and fast car at 3,000 lbs. My white 2001 3.2 coupe has headers, free flow intake and exhaust. 0-60 in high 4s. I would supercharge it but it is the only one of its kind/color in this country so I refrained.
Since Tony wanted 500hp for his GTS and he is going all out to mod this car, I am just pushing him along that track. If he already tasted LS3 power, a hot rod GTS seems to be a natural step.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've always liked the NSX. Even bought a nice Kyosho 1/18th scale Honda NSX-R (yes, Honda, it's a RHD Japanese version). Do these pics look like anything familiar, Steve?

Back to Tony's GTS, it's really looking good! Don't rush it and sacrifice quality. I too, thought of Tahoe Blue when I first saw the samples. However, "Just Beachy" seems a little darker and richer color than Tahoe. I really like it.

Tony,
Looking good. Looks like everyone finally jumped on board with your alterations and modifications. I remember you catching quite a lot of heat for your changes in the beginning. Really appreciate the progress pictures and updates. It's been fun to watch. You are going to have a very nice GTS and customized to your specifications.

Thumbs up

Always liked the NSX, but the interior ergonomics just do not lend itself to big, tall, goofy types as myself. I had to shoe horn myself in & out of an NSX some time ago when I took one for a test drive. Glad to hear that people with great taste like the color & rims that were chosen. I'll try and keep the pics & B.S. flowing as progress is made. T

I hear ya! I used to have the owners contact information but not sure I still do. The car had 65k miles 11 years ago, last I have info on it so who knows where, what it's current state. Nice car though and the only one painted that color (from the factory anyway).....
