cool

Thanks for sharing.

I may never decide to power up one of my cars but it's nice to know that if I do there are a number of well engineered options.

This is what the air box end plates will look like. The breather filter goes to one port and the bypass valve to the other:

Default The final version of the shroud

This version will go in:

A little off topic, sometimes the car stuff in general may feel a little pricey to some of us. And then something happens that makes it seem a bargain. Here's one such thing. My daughter enjoying a $17 hot dog in the Celtics game over the holidays in the below picture. A seventeen dollar hot dog?!! Don't take me wrong, it was worth it and compared to the seats it cost next to nothing. But still - a seventeen dollar hot dog?

That photograph of your daughter is worth way more than the hot dog and seats put together- thanks for sharing!

I agree. She was excited for sure! Just saying that the quantitative easing programs seem to be really working to push up price at least in some segments of the economy and society. I was floored by the $17 hot dog. My daughter didn't mind, or care...

When we had a Porsche car meet at our place last summer, the hot dogs were all free. Think my wife had about ninety of them and not many were left after the meet. Hopefully Tuomo will show next year.

Default The time for compressor cover surgery is approaching

The time to modify the compressor covers is approaching. On the left, there's the compressor cover that has been modified to match the previous version of the system. On the right, there's the so far unmolested compressor cover. The biggest change will be the new discharge direction, to the side into the fenderwell in the new system as opposed to back front as in the old system.

Interesting. I thought the new turbo was larger than the one used in the old system. It may just be the camera angle, but the new turbo housing looks slightly smaller.
