Snakefeeder,
The new one will fit the 16v cars. However the prototype is to be made for the 85 to 86 32v cars first.
Followed by the 84 to 86 16v MAF cars.
It will take us longer to develop the attachment to the "barn door" as it is square.
Have not looked at CIS yet.
We will get there.

Will these be available in modular form? I already have a Kuhn CAI filter system and might just want to switch to a better looking splitter above the MAF instead of my home-made one.

Mike,
It will look like the picture in post #160 so should tie in with your aftermarket hoses.
However I am happy to sell parts of the system as well if that works for you.

Ramon just sent me a photo of the one he installed into his S-4, and he is really excited. Says that it really improved the performance of the car

I knew I recognized it, but couldn't put it with a person. It is a fantastic car and only getting better now

I know it's been a while and there may have been some updates I missed. Are you incorporating the S3 Temp I sensor into the design for the early 32V splitter (stock has it sticking up into the bottom of the airbox using a brass nut molded into the plastic, I did the same with my custom splitter but I'm looking to try something different with the splitter)?
Also, any prices available for the S3 design (and component prices as well)? I'm sorry if it's already posted somewhere.

There was a prototype on display at the Frenzy.
This prototype was fitted to an S3 and what was found were clearance issues with the hood and intake chambers.
This prototype will next be fitted to a "barn-door" style 16V.
S3 is still on the table, but will require a more sophisticated prototype and method of manufacture. All doable. Just going to take time and money. Hang tight, my friend.
Yes, provisions will be made for the temp sensor.
I'm answering for Roger because I think he may be up north somewhere, hunting wild animal.
