I like the bronze idea... silver is just WAY TO BORING for this car! You have gone all out and changed everything you can see on the car (paint and interior) and made it all very nice and very interesting the last thing I would want to see is a set of boring stock wheels on it in a stock color. I like the black idea because the eye won't be distracted at all from the gorgeous paint, but the bronze would probably set it all off very nicely indeed.

I'm on record as someone who is not a big fan of black wheels. However, in this case I could imagine black wheels with thin rims painted in the body color green.

But you'd have to make very sure nobody ever puts clip-on weights on that rim...

If you do go black on the rims, you may want to consider some smoked side markers. Otherwise I would go clear - at least in the front.

Pulled the car out of the booth and washed it. Its sitting in the sun for the first time. I am painting the gas door, cowling and rear hatch. Thats my son Garrett getting some standing water out of his new ride. He says its "0kay" and "fine" but he's smiling.

He better be smiling! I would like to get in line for adoption if he decides to back out!

Looks stunning, can't wait to see it all done.

Hopefully you gave him some clothes or a sponge, my son would probably look upon it as too much effort and take a cordless drill to the floor pan! I stillsay silver, bronze will just make it look like a Mattel Hot Wheels car from yester year, IMHO.

And your point?

Hotwheels are cool! Besides, they don't have bronze wheels.

BTW, Hotwheels makes a 928 in EXACTLY that color green! The one below used to be that color, before I painted it.

He might never appreciate it quite as much as the one who put all this hard work into it... But it's nice to hear he's smiling.

I think he might be smiling seeing his dad launch a whole new exciting career.

Cool! Black inner wheels with silver or polished rims makes them look like white side walls.

Dean, what a great job. I would be too selfish to give that car to my son!!!

It's difficult - I gave the silver 84 Euro in the picture above to my daughter :-)

I'm paining my project car in similar color - and what I had in mind for rims was flat black with a green lip. Never got to photoshopping it, but I think it should look decent.
EDIT: Although I have 18" rims.
