Well...its started! Houston we have color!
Did the jambs and roof today. I was very nervous but knew it had to get done....and it wasn't too bad....so far. Not a lot of trash either so far. Paint covers well.

Now you are going to have to wet sand the out side of the car again to get all the over spray sanded out smooth.. Just remember when you go to resand the car before you apply your Base coat you have 24 hours to base it. Or you will need to re sand it again. If is was me i would have just painted it all with the Jams,, Then you would not have any hard tape lines and no base coat blow Thur in your jams from not taped off right. Been there done that. It suck's. I would back tape all of the wheel well openings to keep the dirt from coming out of there. And back tape along the pinch weld on the bottom of the rockers. And then paper them all off .

The colour may not be for the traditionlists but I think it will look really nice when it's done, hats off to you.

Great, Dean.
That is not my choice of color, but I think it is going to look outstanding on this 928!!!!!
I see that the booth set-up you used worked well to keep the crap out of the paint!!!!!
I think your choice to paint what you did to this point with the rest to wait was a good one. I assume you will, or have, painted the jams on the doors, the under side of the hatch and hood, and will then hang all of that with the front fenders and then paint the rest of the outside together. Good plan!!!!!
This is going to be a work of art!!!!

That color is going to look cool! I agree that it would have been easier to do her all at once. After all that prep painting takes no time at all.
You will smile once you get the clear on. It changes the way she will look for sure! She will SHINE!
