Changed my mind. I'm going to be there a little later, around 11-11:45. I have to take apart my pod again and check the connections to my instrument cluster. Everytime I steer the wheel, the "R" light for the gear selector flashes and my highbeam light illuminates. My tach also says that I'm idling at 400 RPM when it's really at 650.

Well, we wont be winning anything, not that it really matters, but what we will have is a fast car and some good drivers to knock off some good laps! The reason, I just heard from Brian, that in the pre-tech inspection, they didnt buy the FACT that the rebuild was within the rules and limits. Brian sold some stuff, had reciept and paid for the new shortblock with those funds. pretty straight forward, but the rules makers made a joke out of it and penalized our team with 40 BS laps!!!!!! I was a big fan of the series , especially how they did this when it was really asked for, BUT, when they valued the 928 with a blown engine, at $499, they might have well said, "just dont come back". too bad!
Oh well, we will have fun. Its too bad the organizers cant be a little more realistic and fair. Heck, there is not a car out there that can be built for $500 in the real world, without some creative financing . (i.e. selling off the old parts to offset the real costs) Anyway, we will see how it goes. thats like a 1.5 hour pentalty!

Ill be there for my 3pm+ stint. Keep the car in one piece guys!!!

Never mind the BS laps, we had 35 laps on us on the previous 24h race. Once we ended up mid field in the result we only had 3 laps on the last one.
