Did we get any official lap times vs the other cars? I know Mark and I were pretty close with some 2:20s . I noticed a 2:17.xx and a few 2:19s when I got half a lap with some clean traffic. pretty funny, you run for 2+ hours and never have a lap with out a caution or a major traffic snarl up.

Sounds like the normal Bay area commute.

Yeah, my wife's cousin did the Houston race and they were "Larnbacher Foles Racing sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Church" and came out dressed in fake priest robes.

They could turn it into an ambulance, including the sireen and proper lights on the roof. Everytime they approach a slower car from behind, they could flip on the signals, and hope they pull over as they do in real life...

Not sure how you'd illustrate dentists (and relate it to cars). Maybe Brent could provide some input...

Now that they gave the BS laps, wont that haunt you for future races? (even though the engine fix was cheap and legitimate) .

No it shouldn't.....I did request a "residual value" for the car...which I expect will be exactly $500.00.... which is fine...

Hmm....I like the idea of Dr's theme.....it keeps with our elitest theme and being snobs.....the ambulance is really cool too....a GERMAN ambulance.....me likey....

Another idea local 928ers had was a Hearst....since it would be SO easy to put those window shade things in the sides and a coffin in the back....plus our "teammate" is the "Death Cab"....so it fits?

Hmm....lets keep the ideas coming!!!!!

You could do a hunter's theme... Of course, that would require a well secured antler on the roof and camouflage paint...

BTW: In the old days, German ambulances were off-white with the red cross symbol, or whatever organization owned the vehicle. Over time this evolved with more neon orange, and I'm not up-to-date on the current look. You may find some inspiration here:

(search for krankenwagen)

The hearse would be the logical next step after you do the Krankenwagen theme...

I also did some research and it appears white with orange dual stripes (sometimes red) is common....I also love KRANKENWAGEN...it just sounds so killer.....the other idea is Todeswagen.....since hearst doesn't translate a Todeswagen or Krankenwagen makes sense...... we could even fit a mini gurney or coffin in the back too

I think the car would be perfect for the SHARK theme. fins on top, big shark mouth up front and those big eyes in the headlight holes.

Had a meeting in Vancouver this morning so just got back home and took a quick lap at the traqmate data. Lap times ranged from over 12 minutes to under 2:20 with the best recorded lap being 2:16:9 lap 26 on Sunday moring with Mr. Kibort at the wheel.

Brian: There is no such thing as a Todeswagen - it would be called "Leichenwagen", which - literally translated - equates to "corpse car"

It was a lot of fun watching these crazy contraptions whizzing around.

Another fun one was the "Fir Burger":
