Results are IN we did 289 laps...or 11th place IF we weren't penalized 40 laps which made us 52nd...but still better than 74th last time!!!

Even better is the 173 laps we did on Sunday...only 2 cars did more laps on Sunday the winners (175) and our teammate V8olvo (175)....so clearly we are right there!!!

Brian, I think you need to "retheme" the car to something thats crowd pleasing and play towards their crazy marketing plan. Might give you relief from penalties.

Nice showing.... you should do allright if you manage to avoid penalties at the next event.

My pics are up... slideshow here, gallery here. First few are a bit blurry till I settled down and set up the tripod.

Brian, if you go to the galleries, any of the "X3Large" size photos are about 1/4 original size. If you or your team want any full-res copies let me know but be prepared to have your inbox nuked.

A few samples...

No, I've been pretty busy between shark upkeep/mods, working on my site, and playing around with still imaging. Lots of editing to do to get rid of the boring traffic. It's on my to-do list.

they didnt buy the fact that brian got a new engine for $1.

Actually, he got the engine for about $2-300 installled, but showed reciepts for selling stuff off the car to pay for it. (old motors, windows, etc), since there was no money left after they assested the 928 estate to be 499bucks with a blown engine. Kind of a tight move in my opinion.

If you watch the video, and freeze it at second: 19, you will see that he took a massive hit. WOW, and no hans. I think if you watch that pretty gentle impact, you will never race without head and neck restraint on the track. I know I wont!

the move was certainly pushed. he had no room and got a ltttle tap from the maxima, and then a slight over correction slapped the back end in to the batmobile which sent him sideways into the wall.

He got out pretty quick. Later on the drive home passed the flat bed hauling his car. Really flatnosed it and crispy too.

I got more from the weekend. generally it went smooth, i personally totally expected more BS penatlies, its whats going to happen when you bring a really well built expensive car with little theme to this race

some were not as fortunate as us

i even drove my D out for the Concours event, and had a team polish it for a penatly

there was a sweet CRX time machine

So, what is the red little device to the right of the steering, which looks like a cell phone.

I was told that it's not a cell phone for Mark Anderson's parts order hotline...

What is it?
