New Product: Complete Oil Pan Spacer Kit

I'm just confused.
I did offer the "928 community is small and we should not compete on the same product with each other" response to Roger's intrusion into "my" products, and I was shot down for it. "Are you afraid of a little competition?" I was asked.
All right. Thats the way the Renn wants it, I moved on.
Now I make a spacer, and the Renn wants to protect the guy who isnt making them anymore.
Silly me. I thought the Renn would be glad now that someone IS making them since Greg stopped.
Cant win. When you guys make up your mind which way you want it, let me know.

Great repair.
Carl has an excellent repair for this, now.

Gee, Tim, looks like Greg copied Todd!
Note - our water pump block repair is a completely different process than either of these. I developed my own solution, thank you.
For Chrisake - we are all following the the wake of DEVEK, Threshie, and others who have preceeded us. And they followed Thompson, Edelbrock, and Yunick. Sometimes we stumble down the same path.

I initally contacted Louie about buying the pan spacers from him. He was not interested in making them and gave me permission to make them. I did not steal the idea. It was Louie's all the way and I got permission ---End Quote---

The company that made them burned up untold sheets of really nice aluminum....*they will be overjoyed that I don't aske them to make more, too.* ---End Quote---
So if I got this right, the guy accusing me of "copying" his product copied it from Louie Ott? And the guy that volunatrilly decided not to make them anymore is mad that someone else is?

It seems to me that 50% of Carl's new product threads go this way. Now, I'm not taking sides in this or any of these threads, it just amazing to me how often it happens. WTF?

Caught me!
I copied something I'd never seen...until I was done.
I spent $3,000 and two weeks designing and building prototypes, having tools made..so that people could use this tool to fix their own problems. I will never recover a penny of this...the inserts, consumables, and freight eat up every penny of the $200.00 that I ask people to pay. I did this for the community.
That's slightly different than copying something for personal gain...

The first I heard of any one else repairing a block was long after GB had came up with his fix.

You've already said that you made the oil pan spacer after seeing one made by someone else. Were you the first to make the intake side spacers that you've sold? No. Were you the first to build a 928 stroker motor? No. There were pictures of the block repair that Todd did posted years ago already. The level of hypocracy is funny, but not really surprising.
