You have to get the car running first.

Did you swap ign modules yet to see if the relay fault light changes state?

For those that do not know, the car currently runs in 4 cyl mode.

yep, and the hood appears twisted too - look at each side. Easy fix?

Ruling out a wire or harness being compromised during the installation, most likely James has ran the car extensively rich while trying to get it running correctly and has fouled the sensor(s) for the Ignition Monitoring System. A simple Bypass relay part # 928.615.175.00 ($25ish) or manually jumpering the relay to bypass it has a good chance of solving the issue (if the 4 cylinder mode is the only issue).

I have seen this particular SC system in person when Kevin had it and witnessed first hand an exhibition of it's power. Kevin had done an excellent job of updating it the way he wanted it and it was very nice. The only issue I saw was a problem with the MAF boot blowing off occasionally from all the boost he was running, but it was my understanding Kevin fixed that long ago.

James,

I know this GTS Project has been a labor of Love (and sometimes hate) for you for many, many years and I hate to see you not finish your dream. I also do understand and sympathize with you for your current situation, but keep your head up, I am confident you will bounce back.

As has already been said your best bet is to remove the SC system, get it all as close to stock as possible and put it and the SC kit on Ebay separately. If you can't get it running after doing that, I offer the same help as David did earlier, bring it down here one weekend and we will get it running properly again. I have "rescued" a GTS from a botched SC install (not one of Tim's) before (see pics below) and would be happy to help you get it back running again so you can get the most money possible to help out with your financial issues. It can just be a weekend among friends and the "clock" with be "off".

On a personal note I think you owe Tim an apology for your previous statement. We all know his SC kits work great right out of the box. However once they have been modified by someone to this extent it is unfair to point fingers at Tim when you have problems.

Just to help with some real world visualization, which of the 2 pics below do you think would bring the most money?

Before..

After...

Dave, you are one of the greatest guys I know, that is a generous thing to do for this guy! James, Yes it is a bit unfair to expect Tim to fix it, it has been extensively modified from what it started out as. everyone knows I offered an install with the sale but James opted to go it alone. That was his decision and it looks as though it was modified from my design as well. That SC in the configuration that was on my car produced 552whp with no sharktuning or upgraded chips. Just good ol' fashioned tuning techniques like they did "back in the day" before they had stand-alones, piggy-backs or eprom burners /tuning software. 13 PSI , AFR'S in the high 11's and 10:90's on the G-tech, it was a running sumbitch, and pretty as could be.

You mean it would be nice if Tim spent his time getting a problem fixed that's not directly related to a supercharger kit that's not one of his, and that you didn't buy from him?

Hey Tim, I also have something that's not a product of yours and that I didn't buy from you. It would be nice if you spent your time helping me with a whole list of things, for free of course. Maybe you could start with painting the windows. The yard work can wait until after you finish that.

Tim I have this problem with my Eaton S/C, it won't go past 8.5psi. Dammit why aren't you helping me with it?!

Well, if the car has no collision insurance, and the incident was the owner's fault, there is no insurance to touch the title. That's why this whole system is flawed. A clear title alone means nothing. A salvage title merely means there has been damage, and some insurance did not want to pay for it.

None of this says anything about severity, or proper repair. It is up to the owner to properly document that the repair or rebuild has been done properly.

Is it possible to do so? Absolutely.

Are front/rear clips commonly done? You bet.

Is it safe? That depends on the quality of the work that was done.

How do we know? Most of us can't tell the difference between good and bad work. Proper documentation, and an expert check might help.

What happens if you bypass the ignition relay module? It could be a false alarm. If it runs well, then there's a fault in that system (e.g., bad sensor).

DR, if he accepts your offer, I'll make the trip up there to pass wrenches, fetch pizza and keep beer iced.
