Because a member is putting a fair price up for something someone on here who knows what they are doing and might want a nice GTS, a nice GTS with a supercharger or a 10k potential profit.

Edit/Disclaimer: I am just a dumbass noob who has no money or no running 928.

I will attest that James (potsiewebber) is a very nice guy. That being said, I sold him that stage 3 kit but I don't even recognize it! What did ya do man?? Looks like you shook up the box of parts and dumped in the engine bay dude. Just giving you a hard time man. Any way you can do a search here for "my 928 paint restoration" and see what it is supposed to look like correctly installed. I know I sound redundant James, but why didn't you take me up on my offer to install that kit? It would have worked from the get-go and would have ran right and looked right. Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about your job bro.

But you only want 20,000 for it not running with the SC?????
It doesn't appear to have A/C, the seats are aftermarket, and the car is a auto to manual conversion with a non psd transmission.. I think 28K is a bit steep.. but for $20 with the SC...could be a decent deal for someone..

I think its a mistake to assume the final bid on ebay would be less than $20k, or that the transaction would complete, its unpredictable. Part of the reason I suggest listing it now, is that it may take a few cycles to actually sell. If you have any kind of deadline for the money to be in hand, things can get very messy once that deadline is less than 10 days or so away.

James,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your job. That's a real bummer. Also sorry to see that you are going to sell your GTS. I know how much you thought of the car. I know Earl Gillstrom has done some work for you in the past, and probably knows the car pretty well. Can he get it running for you??

Good luck with the sale, and hope you find a new/right job soon.

93 gts 5 speed conversion almost done some electrical questions
So, swap was an 85 drivetrain to the 93 gts. the car is on the road driving fine but some electrical things i need to figure out. The reverse lights arent working, also the psd was removed and i need to figure out how to get the cpu to stop the error message on the dash. also, the abs system has a malfunction. i did some searching and found that the psd and brake system errors could be related from removing the psd. any tips?
Thanks,
James

Ok ive heard stories about this car. Whats the VIN?

Isnt this a salvage title and a rebuilt car? Or i could be mistaken?

Does it have the 5.4L GTS engine? What year is the transaxle from?

The tranny and clutch are out of an 85 or 86 car. This is the car that has a rebuilt title. These are not secrets. I rebuilt the car myself. Ive been working on it for 5 years. Earl Gilstrom has done a lot of work on this car and if it doesnt sell i will have him get it back on the road for me.

Damn, I picked the wrong year to be broke. Lot of good deals.

Good luck with the sale.

yeah Salvage title is usually something thats noted in the ad itself. Its usually pretty important!

you may also want to comment on WHY the car was salvaged and HOW it was rebuilt. I recall there being an interesting story on this one.

I am curious, Does it have a 5.4L GTS engine in it? Or is it some other engine?

guessing how long it took Joe Dyer to sell his excellent running SC GTS for around $25k.....I would have to say you could be a bit optimistic on your price....

Potsie: Do the right thing and delete your posts from Jim's GTS thread. You have defaced his thread with pictures of your work in progress. Delete them and I'll delete this.

Folks, I feel it's only fair to point you to a far better deal on a far better GTS:

No one derserves the hardship of being laid off, so I truly sympathize and understand how desperate you are, especially since I lost my job, jeez, more than 2 years ago now. I hope you find something soon to get you out of the hole. In the meantime, try to keep your head.

Just curious if you were willing to install the kit for him for free or charge him? Sometimes after a big purchase like that your pretty strapped for cash..

Pottsie,
I'am a little confused by your info.. so it wasn't ever running with the SC kit on it?
