Here's an update:
For future reference, the Laco pilots watches are now being manufactured WITHOUT a screw down crown.
They are going to stick with their historically correct non screw down crown (crown is pictured below). Since their original model did not have a screw down crown, they wanna stick to that.
I, however made SURE that our watch will have the screw down crown, as our contract stated, oh.....nearly 10 months ago or so
And, the new model from Laco is being delivered with a magnified (non sapphire) crystal, the previous non sapphire models did not have the magnified crystal.
The sapphire model (which we are getting) is NON magnified and AR coated.
I personally like the non magnified better, you can see the dial while looking from an angle (pic below)
So, our watch new prototype is on it's way to me, hopefully everything is the way it should be, according to them "It's PERFECT."
There has been quite a bit of communication between us, so I am confident that it will be right.
Notice, the new model they are making now has Made in Germany engraved on the caseback. Before it was only stamped on the inside of the caseback.. This is a great move on their part!
On our watch, it doesn't say it on the back, because IT'S PLASTERED ON THE DIAL!
Excitement setting in again....Fingers crossed that it's up to snuff when it gets here.

Upon closer inspection of the watch they already sent you, (and granted, it is extremely **** of me) did you notice the "2" is actually an upside down "5"? I had to check some factory marketing materials I have -just to make sure, but the "2" has 3 rounded corners, whereas a "5" only has 2 rounded corners.
Again, very **** and probably imperceptable to 99% of people viewing the watch... but if it's still fixable... ? Or not a concern at this late stage?
Just curious...

Chris - how will you be contacting us when it is time to order/pay? Besides the obvious post here, I'd like a direct email as well. Sometimes I can be offline for a few days with no internet access but email through my phone. Would hate like hell to miss out.
Thanks for all of the work - 928 times

+1 on the font.
Guys, I know it's too late to make any changes, but if we do another one, maybe something like this could be nice
From the latest Bugatti concept:
Not sure it's really practical, and how many of these things will get lost or stolen and how much will it cost to replace it
Paul

Good lord that's a tourbillon. If it's a genuine Swiss movement, that's a nice little $100k-plus trinket on the dash. Wow. Oh yes and I saved that interior shot as my wallpaper now, good to have dreams.
