Thats bad luck with your engine guys. Although the damage is quite local to one rod assembly, could have been worse!
Looks like plenty of oil was getting to the failed rod, no blueing of the damaged bits, no molten bits of metal. Looks to me like the rod nuts have come loose and have left the building.
Rod bolts are strong but will snap in a brutal situation like that if the nuts hang on that is.
Lovely looking car, I'd be feeling crappy to see mine that way. Hope the repairs go well.

Hopefully no one is still having stroker cranks built with 8 counterweights. That's right up there with running Chevy rods.

Sadly its very likely at least one cylinder wall will have damage due to extra metal in circulation. Hopefully so mild that oversize piston will fix it.
