Mark,
My hat is off to you, a very well thought out upgrade at what amounts to a minimal cost. I trashed a wheel bearing at the end of last summer and as a result scored the rotor so badly that is needs to be replaced when I take the car out of winter storage. Since I have to buy two rotors and pads anyway, the cost of the upgrade for me will be the difference between the replacement cost of the current 993 rotors and the cost of the 993 TT rotors, plus longer bolts and the spacers. The reason I use the 993 rotor is I converted my 1980 Euro S to S4 Brembos several years ago and the conversion kit uses that rotor. It looks like the 993 TT rotor is more expensive but it is a two piece rotor with an aluminum hat, which should be a bit lighter. The car will be in storage till mid April, so I will have to wait a bit after I source the parts.
Thanks for your inventivness and solid explaination of the reasons to do it. I am looking forward to doing the upgrade.

Thanks Paul!
I just wish I had though of it sooner. Oh, i never though of it! It was Andersons idea, but i just figured out a way to make it happpen. I think the washers machined to less than 1/2" and wide enough to mate with the surface, made it a pretty safe mod. Mark and I were talking about it a long time ago, and when i got serious i called someone that had made these hats for someone else. the list was great in making me aware that the GTS rotors actually fit on S4s with proper offset, and that the 964T rotors were the same thing and drilled!! (and cheaper!)
This place is cool, isnt it! ?
