go over gas law and see what the density differnce is between normal air and NOS injected on the intake stroke of the engine. it is certainly possible to achieve 1500hp, if the engine could withstand it, based on flow principles.
The only thing that this would mean, would be that the NOS would be 3x more dense (plus the fact that NOS does have 40% more oxygen)

Hi MARK

Thats VERY good thinking ...the other bits you missed is that mine will inject in LIQUID form and at high pressure (950 psi ideally) it will cause a MASSIVE temp drop in the cylinders ...this affects the flame front and timing....

I just had an interesting thought....

IF i do it....I wonder if 928 owners will start using Nitrous rather than blowers

???

All the best Brett

We covered this in a different thread. One 20 minute DE session at Road America the cost benefit of NOS is gone....and you still have seven more session to go

Dude... I just took a sip of my Woodchuck Draft Cider and felt a lump. Apparently flies like alcoholic apple cider too... Just offering you all some fair warning... I wont lie though, I'm finishing this one off anyway.

Brett,

This would probably work well for drag racing or someone that wants to shred
their tires on the streets , but Nitrous is not allowed by the ORR organizations,
so would not be an option for me. It could be an interesting option for other
928 owners, especially if the costs aren't too great.

Do you think they waive the balance if you blow it up before the financing is paid off?

Since no one ever quotes me I'll quote myself: "Oh what a handsome devil you are..."
On a seperate note I'd like to offer a wager on how quickly I can bring this thread to the 12th page of this forum within one week. To be fair I will inform all of you that regardless of the topic presented and the innate respect for the author of the original post I have seen first hand many times how quickly my interjections spell the death knoll of many otherwise worthwhile threads. What do you think are fair odds???

special tool got 602WHP from a slightly overbored 2.5L 8 valver

by my math your engine would need to pump out around 800HP to get to 220.

Im not going to scroll through all the posts and stuff but i thought the original goal of all this was either to break 200mph or be the fastest 928 in the world?

Either way he wont need 1000hp. I assumed that the system he has will have the capability to produce 1000hp but all of it wont be used. Theres a thing in aerodynamics/aviation called power required vs power available. Brett has more than enough power available to exceeed his goals.

However, even if you have all that power, you will only go as fast as your gearing, tire size/limits, and engine redline capability will let you.

Go for it.

Whens the date and where in England?

Ryan, quit being an attention ***** and get back to work on your sound system thread. I'm holding up my install until I see what you come up with.

Hi

Gearing is sorted, oversized tyres fitted to give 7% overdrive on gears, rev limit moved away to 9710, etc...

No date as yet, for various reasons but I will tell you all here where and when, once I know...

All the best Brett
