That sounds like sarcasm lol
Actually its a chip from John Speake that gives me a "theoretical" red line of 9710..if you don't believe me, ask John as he posts here...
And 1000 hp system is exactly what it says...a 1000 hp Nitrous Race system to add to my 350 normal hp to go onto my daily driver
By the way, you can consider me nuts , thats fine at least I am a 928 nut, but a liar I am not
All the best Brett

Hi Brett,
Thanks for letting me borrow your 1000hp NOS system.
Just a heads up, I had a little trouble with the aero, probably could used a little more downforce then what the stock wing provides.

WTF is a theoretical 9700 RPM redline? The engine will explode long before that probably around 8000 if not before, and putting that much NOS in the engine as to make 1000 HP will detonate the **** out of the engine. Are you serious?
This sounds like 928 engine death to me.

yes i'm new here, but is it me or is this "not of this world"
1000HP NOS system stacked on a bone stock motor is slap *** nuts. actually i mean stupid.
i don't care if these blocks can handle 500HP all day, i really don't think you'll be using this stock motor at 1350HP more than say ONE TIME...
best of luck with your 9700 rpms, when you hit the switch. make sure you have your titanium firewall plates installed to at least deflect the number of parts coming up to meet your nuts at the speed of light...

UH, ok, whatever you say. Yeah 1000 HP from a bottle, you sound crazier then that guy who went 200 on special fuel.

I know perfectly well that my engine would blow if I tried to reach 9710 (I was a Top Fuel crew chief)
The point of MOVING the rev limit OUT OF THE WAY was that engines running on Nitrous do NOT like the fuel being leaned out when the rev limiter kicks in at 6375,,,,,IF that happened I would be looking at picking pistons out of my teeth...lol
And yes I am serious, you really ought to keep up on the threads here or you would know all this....
I am also a Porsche Club of Great Britain 928 official and as I said, I may be a lot of things , but stupid or a liar , I am not !
All the best Brett

well when you video tape this and post it then i will believe it.
Why have a rev limit of 9700, why not just bump it 300-500 rpms? why bump it 3000 rpm?

Now we have 650+ at the rear wheels in a daily driver, and that's a "safe" tune on low boost (per the owner). 30psi is just around the corner (new supercharger was installed a few days ago).
So only time will tell, control the timing and the fuel, stay away from detonation (not easy with NOS) - we may be suprised.
Then again, his 928 might do a recreation of an A-Bomd test.
Friend of mine takes 2.2 liter motors and makes 700-800 rear wheel horsepower daily drivers out of them. Not that long ago his ideas were insane, wouldn't work, gonna blow etc.... He lives next door so I see a lot of his "creations" on a regular basis.

You know we're all pullin' for you Brett
Be careful, be safe, and hopefully we here in the Pac NW won't be seeing an inexplicable glow from beyond the horizon to the east when you do the test run.
For you naysayers out there, just save your breath, you're definitely not going convince Brett that what he's going to attempt isn't doable. It's a done deal already.
You may think the space shuttle is an exageration, you haven't seen Brett's set up. His twin NOS tanks give the Shuttle's LOX tank a good run for its money.
