Why have a rev limit of 9700, why not just bump it 300-500 rpms? why bump it 3000 rpm?
Hi

The answer is because I asked John Speake (who is HIGHLY RESPECTED here) to move it as far as possible OUT OF THE WAY, John said he couldn't take it off completely but the max he could take it to is 9710 and I said that sounds perfect lol

All the best Brett

hey Hack, we see a bunch of 600-700HP little motors downs here also. but those are monster cranked, with bottom ends like tanks. to add 1000HP shot on a stock motor is some what cartoonish...

whatever brother brett, invent, push the envelope, and make comething happen. JUST BE CAREFUL.

I swear i thought the same exact thing when he uses the term "1000 HP system" its so vague as if a 5 year old said it. Seriously, if you can do it cool, lets see it. I will bow down if you can.

Which way is the runway oriented, Brett. And which direction will you likely be pointing the spaceship.
Going to look in that general direction of the sky just in case you make sub-orbital.

Good luck. Strap in tight and keep the shiny side up.

Hi

For a UK team in the eighties, we ran dragsters, funny cars and once even a Fuel altered

Brett,
Build it, Break it, repeat.
make sure you are wearing safety glasses (or squinting) when you pass 8130!

Hi

For those who don't know me or are doubters....here is a link to the PCGB forum in the UK ,with lots of threads and pictures of my 928 S2 and its current Nitrous system...

http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tt.asp?forumid=129

And if you are wondering why I am doing it...

An American Racer once said...and this is the ONLY sticker on my Snap-On tool boxes...

RACE IT

BREAK IT

FIX IT

REPEAT

Now that was my sort of guy

All the best Brett

The 928 already has a bottom end build like a tank from the factory. The last thing Brett has to worry about is the bottom end.

I'm not saying it's easy or possible, but I'm not going to dismiss it either.

He's not planning on passing or even coming close to 9 grand. You cannot turn off the rev limiter with this system, so John Speak set it to the highest setting.

As Brett pointed out in other threads, hitting the rev limiter under NOS is very bad.
