fluff question for everybody: 928 music?
It ocurred to me that I tend to favor certain types of music while driving my 928 than I do with any other car. So, I became curious as to how other people feel about music in their car; whether it's a particular song, or a general music genre, or even nothing at all but the sound of the engine. If it depends on the time of day, where you're going, go right ahead and say so. I'm curious to hear what people say. And yes, I'm serious.

Hey that's a funny post but interesting as well, actually I find myself listening to alot of 80's music as if I was back in teh time when the car was new, especially in the air of the night, by Phil Collins, of course because of the scenes in Risky business.

There is no music as sweet as the sound of Bwaaa with the windows wound down!
When the weather makes that impractical I tend to crank up modern rock sounds like Tonic, Nickelback etc. Only problem is it increases speed in direct proportion to heart rate

Steely Dan.
The music is intelligent, quirky, odd,
decadent and razor sharp.
Just like the 928.
"Glamour Profession" (GAUCHO release) is the best SD song when driving the strip in the posh "i gotta been seen in this car" part of town.

I usually listen to country music, but in the 928, I tend to go more extreme. For example my personal remix of "Baby Got Back" entitled "Baby Got Shark".
Goes sumpt'n like this:
I like old sharks and I can not lie
You other drivers can't deny
That when a shark pulls up with a deep Bwaah sound
And a RMB, makes the neighbors frown
You get sprung, wanna pull up tough
'Cause you notice the wheels were stuffed
Deep in the fender flaring
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get wit'cha
And take your picture...........
Whoops, sorry, back to the real world now.

Gotta be Tom Petty, especially "Runnin Down a Dream" That one just makes my right foot go to the floor.
It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I had the radio on, I was drivin'
trees flew by, me and Del were singin' Little Runaway
I was flyin'...

I'm a Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan kind of guy (..that's how I chose my user name).
However, when I'm in the 928 or Z06, the stereo stays off as I am mesmerize by the sound of the exhaust...
I'm serious. For me, it's part of the driving experience.
However, when I'm in my caddy I'm crankin' 1000 clean watts (..3 separate amps) of Jimi or Stevie! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

"Highway to Hell"
DAHHHH DAHHHHH DA...DUHH DUHH DA ...DUHH DUUH Da ..DUHH DUUH DA ...DAAAH DA DA. <repeat>
"no stop signs...speed limit...nothing gonna slow me down"
Just a good hard pavement pound'n driving tune IMHO.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum. I love to cruise along with a little Frank cranked up. "come fly with me..come fly..lets fly away"

Alan Parsons Project "Hyper-Gamma-Spaces" (Pyramid) [this one *always* leads to triple digits for me]
Pink Floyd "Welcome to the Machine" (Wish You Were Here) [warning: contains "Jaguar" reference]
*any* Steely Dan, whether in or out of the shark! :-)
