Where do you get your Rondo Veniziano CDs from? Is there a source in North America?

I like them because it's dynamic music that does not distract me or make me aggressive.

I am expecting visitors from Germany later this month. I guess I need to investigate, if there is anything new out... Thanks for reminding me!

I enjoy Bach very much also. But rarely in the car. Right now I have a Nora Jones phase...

Hi Nicole,
I got 2 discs of Rondo Veneziano from cdnow.com. Amazon carries them too, I think. If you like baroque, they certainly put a new twist to it.

The "Speed Tribe" CD and the "Olivia Neutron Bomb" CD. However, "ONB" is not something you'd find outside of the Twin Cities dance scene. - Ruf

I favour, on windy mountain roads, William Tell Overture, aka Lone Ranger theme - really suits that sort of road well, if your going fast enough.....

He, this is quite amazing really. I haven't seen anyone mention any of the crap they usually play on the radio - either 928'ers have an incredibly consistent non-mainstream taste in music, or the POP-heads are afraid to chime in.

Cool to see so many hardrock/metal fans in here.

My two most recent additions to my collection are System of a Down and Porcupine Tree (yeah I was a little slow on that one). Other than that, it's anything from Pearl Jam to Sepultura, Metallica, Korn, Led Zep, Pink Floyd and even the occasional Sinatra or Mills Brothers.

To me it's not so much genre as quality, good to see that that seems to be a general 928-owners trade ... Makes me warm and fuzzy all over - ok, I'll stop now

The real "Risky Business" 928 song was Jeff Beck's "The Pump". Remember what was playing when he stalled the car when he took it for the first time? That is the song. It was also good for taking off in an airplane until the FAA banned playing portable music players during takeoff and landing. Then there is "Train" by Train. When I go 80's I go Dire Straights. The is nothing like a Mark Knofler driving guitar solo for running twisties.

I've been making CD's to take to SITM with me this weekend.

Did you know....

That if you compile all 17 of Stevie Ray Vaughn's instrumental tracks from his Studio albums, including Family Style, to burn on a 70 min. CD you will get them all on 1 second to spare.

Just though you'd like to know.

Most memorable music moment in my car....on the way to DEVEK days last year. Pulled an all nighter. Hit the mountains of Southern Oregon/Northern California just as the sun was coming up, sunroof open, triple digits, cranking Van Halen II.

Good times.

Cool

My favorite while cruising the Shark is Ozomatli and Santa Esmeraldo, but if just one song to express my feelings about driving the Shark it would be Eric Clapton's "Badge"
