If you shift it out of first gear it will go even faster.

You should read these threads

Murf928 G-Tech run 11.49sec @ 132.59 mph 3.79sec 0-60
G-Tech run in 928SP SuperCharger - 0-60 <4.4sec!

I might have recently hit 143ish on a backroad near my house in less than 20 seconds (don't have the G-tech read out on this PC), but that's conjecture at this point.

Like Schocki in Deutschland, had it off the clock - must have been reading be around 170 in mph (270kph). Did not have my GPS with me so I have no idea how accurate the tacho was at that speed. That is in my 81s.
Another time I was following a friend in an S4 & we had both had 270kph on the clock; he was alone and too busy to check his gps.

Hi

I have been clocked by a police speed gun at 162 mph (with a little left) without Nitrous on a runway..of course.

I have been clocked at 182 by someone else with a newly regulated speedo (Lamborghini) (and I was still pulling away from him) also on a runway

All the best Brett

buck forty, then I shifted to fith gear.....

In my dreams, of course.

A bit over 130 indicated, with more left in it. If I had more room it would have done more, but I ran out of room. Closed course, not a public road, etc. etc.

The Old Very Brown 1980 has the original DOT mandated 85 mph speedo ... so how would I know ? Putting around big Willow Springs a few weeks ago each lap had a LOT of plus 85 mph At the Streets of Willow smaller tighter track each lap I only hit a bit over 100 mph twice per lap before slamming on the brakes and turning ! So 1 minute 36 seconds a lap 13-14 "corners" depending on how you look at them two straights at 100 mph plus and you get a 20 minute run session 4-5 times a day. The Old Very Brown spends a lot of time with the gas pedal planted on the floor at the Streets of Willow. Each day you get an hour and 1/2 driving braking cornering just as hard fast as you think is humanly possible with that car !

I know this guy who had his '85 auto up to somewhere between 110 - 120 indicated on the speedo on his check out ride when he was considering buying it. Apparently he did not get a real good look at the speedo, just a glance before slowing it down. He says the car had plenty left to go too.

And the reason he was going so fast on the check out ride was because he was following the seller who was in an S4 that was going even faster then him and he was trying to keep up.

Or so I've heard. Heh heh....

Not that we need worry about this but Porsche Cars N A has been said to have voided warranties based on cars being used on a race track Dealer does the track tech inspection and black ***** those cars some discussion that "black box" down loads of frequency of mechanical of overrevs (missed shifts, etc) used as justification for denial of warranty claims.
