My 1990 GT hits the limiter in 5th on the autobahn and so does my 1984 Euro S2 5spd. Ah, they have also done the above on the M6 toll road near Manchester chasing and showing a clean pair of heels to a 993 and a 3.2 Carrera respectively

Not that I would do this on a country road, with other 928's around, but my speedo reading would have been 142, if it had happened.

I was also told that my speedo was off by 8 mph, showing on the slow side, at 82 (others were showing 90), so it should/coulda been a bit more.

There was this really nice GTS that didn't say he hit 160 at the same time. Another S4 that wasn't around 140 and a Euro that wouldn't admit to 130. The Euro kinda got in my way.

My thoughts exactly!!! 140 (in third gear) is way too easy! Haven't gone faster than that! Did manage 100-105 down the straight at thunderhill....but rich was hitting 110 & Dennis was hitting 120!! Damm 5 speeds with headers!

Rich
It would be very interesting to bring a dyno to ORR.....might talk to Tom Cloutier to see if he's interested.....I'm sure it would be worth his while at $100 a pop.....most racers would do it!! The Dyna-pak will fit in the back of a truck!

If this was the Marble Falls run, sorry I missed it. I have pushed 155 briefly running over to Lake Charles to check on some investments, before I-10 became the newest death trap. Luckily one of those suicide deer didn't scare up out of a ditch. Oh btw, who sells those fender covers you have SeanR?

All this talk of altitude effects has me wondering how many of the ORR guys will want to have two maps set up via sharktuner, one tuned for home turf and one tuned for 5000-6000 ft., switchable with a coding plug.

G-Tech run in 928SP SuperCharger - 0-60 <4.4sec!

I might have recently hit 143ish on a backroad near my house in less than 20 seconds (don't have the G-tech read out on this PC), but that's conjecture at this point.
RS4 hiittng 140..tad over 20sec on my watch
