G-Tech run in 928SP SuperCharger - 0-60 <4.4sec!
Update:
Now 0-60 in less than 4.4 seconds!
1st, BIG THANKS got to Tony for send me his G-tech. I got home today and there it was. After the kids took their baths I snuk out of the house for 20 mins to do my first run. Let me preface that it rained about 3-4 hours ago do the roads are still slightly damp. Also, my nerves were shot as was just a tad bit excited.
Remember: This has not ad ANY dyno tuning yet. Simply 45min with the shark tuner.
Here's how it went. I found a nice stretch of flat road (North side of Wilow Run Airport - Normy knows it well). No traffic. Hit the button on the G-tech... "Launch when ready!" and man, did I ever launch it. She spun like crazy in 1st. and then again in 2nd. Once it hooked up the power was really good and felt pretty even.
I got quite away down the road and let up. I looked at the G-tech to see the result... c'mon dammit! waiting.... waiting.... Ahh there it is.
0-60 4.995s
1/4 mi 13.211 @ 112.92.
I know just based on the wheel spin that I can get a few tenths off, so right now, I am a very happy man. WIth tuning, I'm confident we can get it into the low 4's and maybe into the 3's.
Here the pic of the g-tech output. Sorry, but I only had time for 1 run. More... lots more... to follow.

Nice run. Next time try to do it when the pavement is warmer (stickier). Ease into the throttle and don't just floor it. This might take a little practice, caue with all the excitiment one can easily forget any of this and just go "pedal to the metal". Having a 5-speed make all this that much trickier too.
My guesstimation is that if you can get a good lauch, you hould be able to shave off at least another 0.5sec. To get a good launch, some wheelspin will be needed. The tires will have to spin just enough to get the engine into the power band. Too much and you'll roast the tires, too little and the engine will bog. Since your system is a positive dispacement, getting the tires to stay in controll witll be a littel mroe challanging....... keep practicing and you'll get there.
If you ever decided to go to the local drag strip, don't forget to bring a helmet. I had to rent one after the SC install cuase my very first pass was a 12.9sec.

Nice start Andrew. For drag launches, unfortunately you need to "drive it like you hate it". Get the balance of tire slip, clutch slip and throttle control for the launch. This will vary with temperature quite a bit. Fun to learn, but can add up in parts just as quick. Larger sticky tires help a lot. My car was useless for a drag launch until the 295's went on. Even they will spin in 1st and 2nd, but with much better "foward progress".

Your weight is also about 200lbs low. Your real numbers are actually a little better. Find a landfill and get them to weigh you and your car together, oh fellow lard ***!

Do the hp to weight vs mine, but from 60-100mph, where there is no traction problem, 5.8seconds is my best, which is about the same. However im at 320wrhp and 2850lbs and he is probaby 3400lbs?
that seems kind of slow from 60-100mph, I can remember and have the video, of a stroker with 300rwhp doing just under 6 seconds and it was bone stock. (besides a 6.0 liter stroker bottomeend)

Andrew, look at the chart for RPMS..and also look at G's. you can see exactly where your spin is and where you loose time. You should be able to get your 60 ft down to the 2.0s easily i think as your a 5spd...there's 3/10ths right there.
FYI..every time i have run at the dragstrip i have run with this GTECH simultaneously. Its is always with in 1mph and 1/10th of a sec of the time slip, if not exactly the same. its very accurate and above all consistent.
When you get some more runs, email me the FILES, and i can overlay them on mine. Virtual drag race

I woke up really early this morning (not on purpose... just woke up) and decided to go into work. Forecast is for a beautiful day, so I drove the GT. On the way to work, I just happened upon the same stretch of road that I did the pass on last light.
No traffic, so I set it up to launch... 3... 2... 1...
I still had spin, but not as much. I think one of the problems is that this road is concrete and not asphault. I still managed to do a LOT better.

The 1st pic below is a combination of last night's run (main) and this morning's (comp 1) on the "speed" tab, the second pic is on the "RPM" tab.
