WOW! Looking at all these pics isn't good for the early stages of my 928 obsession!
Must have one soon...

IrishLegend. If you're in Austin and looking for a car check out the 82 euro at Austin V-dub. 1800, only needs a cam (which Lizard has). Would be a great car. 5spd, 300hp.
And come to our monthly GTG's! No car required.

Unfortunately, I do not have any instrumentation to verify the heat shield, or what the filter setup is doing to the AFR.
There has been info on the Rennlist for years about the effects of a heat shield and its ability to drop the airbox temps. Many years ago Steve Pappin found this trick and as of late, Porken has documented these same effects. Porken sells a neoprene heat shield on his website that I would have bought, but did not want to cover my C&R rad, and some of my other bits. This is why I went with the lexan, just to keep the visuals. Jim M. has a great looking heat shield made from fiberglass, but I am not that talented with that material.
The filters seem to make a difference with throttle response. This is pretty normal with changing to a cold air intake on any car. The automatic needs all the help with throttle response it can get. I am hoping to get to a dyno soon, so I can see the comparison between the stock airbox and my Blackbird copy. DRs version showed some good gains, though mine is not quite the same as DRs. The reducers are a little different and I think he uses 3" tubing Y-ed into the MAF (ovalled at the 3.5 MAF). I used 3.5" all the way through. It just clears the hood. Only DR knows what his production model will have.

Absolutely incredible Abby... the appearance of the engine alone would strike fear into the competition, or at least come away with retina burn!
Excellent job, seriously.

That picture is under some really bright fluorescent lighting and has more shine than in real sight.

I'm just saying that power doesn't equal loud color overload... I know you and I don't see eye to eye.. but do you really have to take pot shots like that? so how many 928's are out there with boost... vs something that no one else wanted to try... we are all 928 fans.... and yes we have different views....
you don't see me talking trash about boosted 928's vs strokers... so have some class.... and don't go there... its easy to follow others...
I didn't make the most powerful 928 out there with my quest.... and I admit it...
Respectfully...

Spare the drama, Sterling..IF that's humanly possible for you.
You took a shot and I poked you back in your eye. I'm fine with leaving it at that unless you truly feel a need to take it any farther. I could care less what you think of my car as I'm sure the feeling is mutual in reverse.
But don't go throwing shots and then expect not to receive one. It's laughable you take the first cheap shot and then start spouting off about "class" when I gave it right back to you.
Don't start something, and there won't be nothing.
If you didn't have something constructive to say without being flippant, perhaps you should just keep it to yourself and take your own advice. That being "show some class"
