The engine is an 85-86 block, as well as heads/cams that have mild porting and a S4 intake. I'm using 951 forged pistons with custom forged rods from Pauter and a 5.0 crank with the cross drilling mod. In addition I have a mid mounted T-67 DBB water cooled Precision turbo that has custom plumbing done by John Kuhn. And I am also running custom inter-coolers designed by John. Fueling is done through the stock management system that has been Shark Tuned by John, along with some goodies from John Speake (SuperMaf and dual MAP sensor) using 36lb Marren Racing fuel injectors and a Bosch 044 fuel pump with a modified in tank pickup. There is also a BEG rising rate fuel pressure regulator to tip in some additional fuel pressure on the top end. The current tune was done at 8psi resulting in 434RWHP/488RWTQ. I have an electronic boost control and this fall we will turn up the screw to 12psi and re-tune the car. It's been A LOT of work however I am starting to see light...shhhhhh not going to 'curse' myself by thinking I'm almost there

Thanks for asking about it!
holy manly blowers! that's a seriously nice effort! but that's the street car, right? for the track wouldn't that put you into the insano top class against fabricated race cars from the ground up?

that's what happened w/my stroker in the PCA stuff

Sadly, the GTS looks quite plain and neglected under the hood.

Here's one of my intake after the R&R - the rest of the engine bay is still a work in progress. It was nighttime when I finished putting everything back together, so I'll try to get a daytime shot soon.

With that said: If you don't have the patience to disassemble, clean, and prep before you paint, don't try this at home! Those of us who buy your cars after you give up on them don't want to spend 2 months sanding poorly prepped rattlecan blasts off the expensive magnesium intakes. :P Although it is nice to pick up a 5.0 928S for under 3k because the engine bay looks atrocious.

Oh, and the red liner on the radiator hose is left over from the Previous owner. I started to cut it off, but the hose underneath is coated in crusty globbed silver paint, so it actually looks better on for now.

What kind of Bone-head would put spray paint directly on that engine? I'd be afraid to look
at the rest of the car...

Remarkably, the exterior and interior were in good shape for a 24 year old car, except where someone tried to use touchup paint to cover some scratches (for a custom paint color car. )

The engine was so bad it was hard to tell where one part quit and the next one started because 4 different colors of spraypaint had been used without masking, or prepping anything, much less removing parts!
