OUCH blown and Nitrous? Off to search for "Soupcan" and "Dyno sheet"!

My hasty touchup during intake refresh- not pleased w/it.

I can finally contribute to this thread after a major engine compartment resurrection.

Mongo, sure like those red cam covers...looks really nice! Also, is that the way the air filter goes...bought two the other day...and wasn't sure. Flipped them around ten times looking for some sort of indication...but nothing...decided on your way. Hope we are both right...lol.

Great job guys.

Brian,
The air filter in Andy's photo is on the right side.
Convex side up, flat side down.
So you're good.
Interesting thread on this here:

I just reviewed this entire thread and find it amazing how many 928s are missing their Shell Sticker on their cowl cover, and several missing the Cowl Cover entirely, or getting by with an ill fitting and deformed looking factory one.

^^^ (a few posts back) nice to see things turned out, Andy.

Posted elsewhere, but (I think) never in this thread. Complete with cowl cover and Shell sticker!

Some day, I need to remove some hardware and have it replated. The old, corroded hardware just don't do everything else justice.

Since the cam covers are mostly covered up, they deserve a little closer look (old photos from right before/after installation):

Your engine bay is a work of art!

Im striving to even get close to what you have done.

You know what is driving me crazy? I have a pressure washer sitting in my garage now. I used it on the house and now I am looking at dirty wheel wells with some serious OCD.

Not sure how many there are out there, but I am one of the few who has a cowl cover that is not cracked or beat up, and still has the stickers on it. One less detail to worry about under the hood.
