Okay, so all '89+ actually, instead of all S4+.

That the 1988 Porsche Rennsport calendar has paintings featuring only porsche that were not watercooled. How do i know, i'm looking at it right now..... ( factory original, near mint!)
Not really relevent, but fits well with a lot of these posts!

Ross oils squirters are machined into the lower block and point up each cylinder and oil shoots up under the piston to help cool it.

My 85 32v has two antenna leads to the radio, one from the antenna in the windshield and another that I'm guessing, I didn't try to trace it, goes to the back of the car.

Did you know some of us have never seen a complete set of tools or had an original air pump... and have gotten along just fine without either.

Did you know that the early prototype 928 motors all leaked oil at the seam between the upper block and the lower block and crank cradle, and was not corrected until they added a second, smaller, low pressure oil galley in the casting just outside the larger, inner, hi-pressure oil galley?

WOW!!!!!! I did not expect this thread to have over 200 posts and over 3000 views in less than 24 hours! LOL

This is great! I have read through some of the pages and I have to say that I am learning quite a bit of cool stuff here!!!

Looks like I am incorrect for the pollen filter on the 93....my bad. I had found out about the pollen filter starting in 93 off the internet. FWIW, I do not recall ever sneezing or having watery/itchy eyes in the 93 (late 93)! Never the less, the GTS's for the most part are pretty much the same.

Tom, I didn't know that Porsche had changed the rings (I can only assume) to "fix" the oil usage issue. I thought that this was only done when folks were a bit upset and went back to the dealer within their warranty period and the engine was replaced.

Thanks to everyone posting here...this is way more of an education than I had expected!

Did you know, (taking a flyer here from what I think I had heard in the past) that the GTS brakes were the largest calipers and rotor set up ever used for a Porsche road car until the 996.

Thanks, The only reason I know/think my car has oil squirters is from the PO's words. How does one go about checking if they have oil squirters?

It ain't easy...

Did you know (probably) that once the tires are off it takes about 10 minutes to replace all of the break pads... very cool.

For 87 and on cars, the 4 speed automatic transmission has a total fluid capacity of 9.8 quarts (9.3 liter), while a fluid change service (including torque converter drain) only requires 7.7 quarts (7.3 liter).

Did you know that initially, S4 models had different windshield wipers on each side?

Drivers side came with spoiler, passenger side did not. BOSCH still lists these different wipers for each side in their online catalogue, but factory images of GTS models show wipers with spoiler on each side.

Also, did you know that the wiper arms of the S4 and later models are different in that the wipers sit lower on the windshield when not in use?

Did you know that BOSCH has an online catalog where you can reference part numbers that fit the 928?

http://ecat-online.bosch.de/toc

I'm just too lazy to use it...

There are bolt on spacer plates which mount to the clutch and brake pedals - up to 30mm. (Each spacer is 15mm.) That's what the threaded hole in the pedals is for.

How does one go about checking if they have oil squirters?
The only way to know for sure is to pull the pan and get a mirror up in the cylinders. There does seem to be a correlation between the squirter blocks and their oil pans having a two bolt cover plate covering the old oil filler tube hole on the top surface of the front of the pan toward the driver side.
