Do I have any recourse, out $1150 and no iForged wheels! [long]

As I've said before, this is clearly a design flaw. The fact that iForged is telling you they are OK shows they have no ethics. As I keep saying -- we don't care much if a vendor makes a mistake. What sets vendors apart is how they respond when a mistake is made!

Sterlings advice sounds best second only to snipers.
Threaten to cancel your citi card, that may get a response especially if you do a fair amount of business with them.
Like you said and i was thinking when i read it, BAD MOUTH ifroged everywhere, start threads at 6speed, rennteam, and in other forums here. You should get some interest since you are getting a 997. (you would almost be ignored if you just had 928's sadly) That should get ifroged's attention and perhaps some satisfaction. I know I wouldn't buy from someone that screwed a customer over.
There should be a sticky thread that keeps track of such things so we can see who treats customers right and who doesn't.

But no, they would rather fight. I asked the owner of iForged if me thrashing them on the internet was worth it and he indicated he would take his chances. I haven't said anything to this point and its been almost a year because I wanted to give them every opportunity to make it right. They still can make it right and I will shut up and go away. I will pay for the wheels I bought if they are redone and redone correctly!

Chuck,
If they wont resolve the problem, but they will ship the wheels back to you as a last resort, then you could 1) have T-6063 aluminum machined lug nut caps made to go on the steel nuts.
Its possible somebody already makes some for a different car or on the aftermarket, and I beleive some GM cars had .040" aluminum black anodized caps that fit onto the steel lug bolts.
2) Or order some custom machined lug nuts, but that item I dont know where to look for.
3) Have the wheel lug bolt hole offset machined down 3/8". Again, could be a hard to find item and costly.
The wheels don't look bad except for the lugs sticking out, that is just WRONG!!!.
Good luck.

This really sucks!! I would cancel my MC right away and tell the highest ranking person I could all about it in great detail about how much of my business they will never ever get again!! Or any of my friends either (& of course document the entire conversation).
Heinrich has it right, at the very least Iforged should send you the wheels you paid for & you can resell them here or on ebay. At least you'll get some of your $$$ back.
Another thought, what is Iforged offical return policy? My guess is its probably the standard 20% restocking fee? If it is....then their own policy says they can't keep more than that? Depending on the results of that (the difference between the 20% vs $1150), I would file a police report for theft naming the owner of Iforged as the suspect. Also contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint.
I also vote for the continous flamming of Iforged over every internet portal you can find.
With business practices like this Iforged will not stay in business very long!

Hey Chuck,
I took a look at their website. I was thinking of sending them an e-mail with my work address (auto shop) referring to your situation and informing them that we do auto modifications & would not recommend their wheels to any of our customers & also that we would be putting up a placard in the customer lounge detailing what they did to you. It's not a lot but it may help, especially if more people from this list did the same. How could i refer to your situation so they would know who i was referring to?

One suggestion that may be cheaper than an attorney Chuck - contact the Better Business Bureau where Iforged is located. I know, not the same as an attorney, but if you treat them with respect, many times you will get an additional resource to help you fight. They will also know if other complaints have been filed, and if there is a serious issue they can start events in motion that threaten the company's business license. Never underestimate the power of government bureacracy when it is working for you I have gone this route before with a lot of success, especially for small businesses - they tend to respond to things like this better than a direct consumer. The fact that you have no product and have been charged is a big no-no to the BBB.
Just my $.02...
