Chuck,
I'm afraid you have no recourse that makes any sense from a financial point of view. It sucks to be ripped off like that, but it's a risk of doing business remotely.

Problem is you have some yahoo making $9 per hour making the final decision. They see some rich guy with a Porsche crying about his new wheels, figure screw'em, he can afford it.
I also agree with jyoon - try and get at least the wheels you paid for. This sucks, sorry to hear you got screwed like that. I remember when a friend of mine ordered a set of Fikse wheels, he had them send two samples (front / rear) before he made the 2nd half of the payment. Maybe this isn't such a bad idea on custom wheels.

Long story short, the wheels showed up, they were beautiful but when I went to mount them on the car and after numerous phone calls back and forth with Vince Wong at iForged it became obvious that the wheels were built for a 996/Boxster. The holes for the wheel lug nuts were not deep enough for 19mm lug nuts and a 19mm tire wrench would not fit in the hole, I had to use a socket. A 17mm lug bolt fit great and a 17mm tire wrench fit fine. Vince at iForged sent me the lug bolts thinking my 928 used lug bolts. He later told me they had never built a set of wheels for a 928 and didn't know they used nuts instead of bolts. Big difference! Not to mention, the ball seat on the lug bolt is different than that of the lug nut.
Because they were unwilling to make it right (redo the wheels to fit my car) I filed a complaint with MasterCard. Because the charge was split in to two separate transactions there was two compliant files started. iForged responded to one but not the other. I had already set the wheels back to them at the request of Citi Bank. iForged returned the wheels to me again. I refused delivery (again at Citi's request) and they went back. If you're still with me, there was an $1,150 dispute (the other portion of the charge was written off against iForged because they did not respond to it) that went to litigation and iForged had the wheels.
I had sent in a very detailed description as to why these wheels were made for the wrong car and even attached some of your comments when I ran a poll about your thoughts on a wheel where the lug nuts stuck up past the face of the wheel. I also attached pictures of several other cars from the iForged website with the Technik wheel where the lug nuts were clearly not sticking out past the face of the wheel. Almost unbelievably, MasterCard decided against me on the $1,150 portion of the charge and I have NO FRICKIN WHEELS!!!!
Basically, I am out $1,150 and have no f'n wheels. Something is VERY wrong with this process.
Is there anyone in the group that might have insight into what my options are or am I screwed? Did I mention I'm out $1,150 and have no f'n wheels???
These guys at iForged are crooks, not beyond lying to make a point. Because I took the honest approach I am getting screwed. When iForged sent the wheels back to me after I returned them upon Citi's first request they were delivered when I wasn't home. I could have easily said that I did not get them and this would have been a completely different post. Instead, I did the right thing and sent them back because I am not a dishonest person.
Now what?

Not knowing where any of this stands at the moment. I can suggest a couple of things.
You can contest Citi banks decision. The squeeky wheel uasually gets the grease...talk to someone higher up like a supervisor or the deciding entity over this decision.
Contact iForged and tell them you would like the wheels back. Of course I do not know how it was left with them, but you have to somehow convince them that you are the customer and they are the experts. You would be willing to pay the balance when the problem is fixed.
iForged is in Anaheim...maybe someone out here knows them personally...ask 928 Int'l.
Sue them in small claims and hope to get your money back someday.
Good luck Chuck!

i know this seems wrong, but it sounds like from your description, the wheels can be salvaged. seems like it would just take a little machine work. any chance you can agree upon a "fair price" for them to do the additional work? or do you just hate the bastards so much you aren't willing to give them $.01 more.

Leave a $1150 balance on your citcard and close the account. I've been told you can file something with the credit bureaus to block a specific company from reporting something to your credit record. Then tell Citibank you'll continue to file complaints and badmouth them everywhere you can until they get this straight....
...or have a lawyer call them.

Hey Mr. Chuck-
First and foremost, sorry about the issue. That sucks.
Now to the productive part. I used to work for HMO/PPO dental insurance companies where if their grievance system did not satisfactorily resolve the member's/enrollee's/insured's complaint (such as you attemt through Citi) they had to advertise in EOC's and on-line on how to file a complaint with a state/fed regulator. I searched for the regulator for National Banks, such as Citi. This process is very simple and straightforward. I feel this is the best source for you to file you complaint, sit back and watch the fireworks. Having been on the admin side of an org regulated by the state of CA, it's kind of funny how quickly things magicly seem to reverse themselves into the favor of the complaintant. These companies don't want to be fined or investigated for misdeeds aganst the CCR or other gov't regulatory agencies - hefty fines. $1150 much easier to pay then the fun litigation process. The link below covers Citi card holders for those outside of California, which I believe you are. CA residents need to go through the Department of Financial Instutions.
Please let me know if you have any other q's on the process.
Anyhow, the link:

, best of luck and let the gov't agency help you out with this one.
