Well, stock 320hp flywheel doubles in a hypothetical 14.7 above atmo, so that would be 640, and then add 3.3 more psi, maybe lose more efficiency there, 700hp? And you are at 461 with 3 liters? How long do you have that torque? Is it a mountain or a plain?
You guys are killing me!! Thanks for the compliments too. Yes, it's a 3.0L 8V. I just wanted to say hi, that's all. I don't want to hijack this thread from Bigs! Anyway if you guys are interested in my car, just visit my web site. I have lots and lots of info there. It's updated once a month too.

It's very hard to come up with a 928 competitor in the same price range, even considering the maintenance/repair costs that many incurr with the 928. Nothing else has the comfort, but still is sporty, the power and the handling. Maybe a twin turbo Supra. Then you have to talk about the curvaceous 928 body. The big rear end beckons to me.

I've said it before I'll say it again. This car attracts alot of attention.
Everytime I stop someone want's to talk about my car.

Not to bad mouth other cars, because I like alot of cars... but park a G35, M3, M6 or anything short of a Ferrari next to a clean well maintained 928 and see where the crowd roams.

It's good looking without being an gaudy, well propotioned (without carrying a buldge around so to speak), and has aged more gracfully than damn near any other car minus a select few in the history of autos.

I can't speak from experience on alot of things, but heads turned, questions asked, chicks attracted, I can say this car is a fine instramnet for doing all those things...very well.

I've often said that my 928 doesn't even have to be operational for me to appreciate it. It's like having a piece of art sitting in my garage. The fact that I can start it up and drive it down the road is a bonus!

The only car I can think of that I would purposely park in different positions in my driveway so that when I come downstairs in the morning, I get a different view of it at first peek out the kitchen window. Makes my heart skip a beat.

Truly a unique automobile.

After owning my 89 for 9 years, I figured it was time for a change, thus the purchase of the Merc. Agreement with the wife to sell the 928. "Yup, I'll list it on ebay soon honey". I just couldn't do it. I tried to several times, but I just couldn't.

So a 93 enters the picture, and now I can sell the 89. I just can't live without at least one Shark. It's an illness.

Many of the cars listed in previous posts are admittedly great cars. But still not comparable to the 928 in my (not so) humble opinion.

They're either true sports cars or high-performance sedans. Both very nice in their own ways...

But they live in a different niche than the 928. Not too many cars live in that niche:

Sportier than a sedan
More comfortable than a sports car

More powerful than a locomotive...
Faster than a speeding bullet!!!

Look! Up in the sky! It's...

Supercar!

Brendan, what I like about you is that you seem honest!

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti- Other Ferrari owners do not like it, It is not selling well, 2+2 seating and it kind of looks like a 928.

I was thinking maybe the late '90's BMW 850CSI. Not really that fast, but beautiful in its own right and has a bit of luxury yet sporty looking.
