    I have not found it's location so I will probably be reinstalling without the items and see what it does.

    Jim, not sure if my previous message got to you, am new to the board. Am having the same issue as you reported on the 928 ignition switch ie a small plastic paddle and spring left in the housing. Did you manage to find its location in the reassembly of the switch/cam/barrell??
