This is a slightly modified Pizza bushing. The top flange was widened to facilitate a hold-down device. This proved to be un-necessary because of the clamping pressure exerted by the fuel rail.

This bushing will accommodate both the OEM Bosche type injector as well as the DEKA type injector.

How much for a set of those bushings (really only need 4 but I'll take 8)

Thanks Brian. I remember seeing this drawing now. Back about 50 pages. LOL. Thanks for re-posting it.

From what I'm seeing looks like "L" brackets to the Intake.
The Fuel rail would not be my first choice, but I agree they are stable once bolted up, also the "L" brackets seem to move the the assembly more to the outside.

Edit: these headers are kicking my but to get installed correctly

Obviously you're installing them with the engine in the car. This IS a royal pain. Especially with the exhaust port ring gaskets. Did that on the GT years ago. Not sure if there's any difference (installation wise) with the 85-86. Good luck is about the only help I am. LOL.

Yeah Devek Level II's, they must go in after the engine is installed, then the engine must be lifted a bit to clear the engine Cross Brace side braces.
Now it looks like I need to move the steering column a bit to get that single pipe installed.

I know Greg Browns headers come w/ shorter exhaust studs and that would make lifting the engine not necessary for clearance of the Cross brace.

For most headers, I try and combine with a Pan gasket/and/shock workflow so its completely open down there.

Yep did that, silicon gasket w/studs, Volvo mounts, then changed to Ancor for more clearances.
All bolted back up and still no joy 😣

Tell me more. I have some L2 headers here. You had everything off the bottom and put up the complete headers and then what? When you put up the K member it won't fit?

DL2's fit, but they are tight. Lots of cursing. It's a process that has to be done in a particular order, which I don't remember. Greg's might be easier to install, but they are WAY more $$$.

Off to our local 928 Beer night.

With everything out and the Engine suspended w/ an eng brace I had enough clearance to get them over the stock (long) exhaust header studs.

All was fine w/ the cross brace & rack, it's the Collector's that are tight up to the TT tunnel brace that hols the heat shields on, one collector is right up to the 8mm bolt for the right side front heat shield.

My solution is to cut the brace at that point and relocate the bolt tab and move on. I can always bolt on another brace once I figure out the cause when I pull the engine in the fall, I'm not going to remove that Header for a third time, the captive nuts and tight space quarter turn's are brutal on the hands.

The thing is you don't/won't know of any issues until they are all bolted up !

Dave

Cut the exhaust flanges off and replace with V-Band clamps....
Much easier on your knuckles...
