New injectors deserve a new rail design, so here it is. This is a -8 size rail, which should be about perfect the volume of fuel required to support 500hp with a good margin of safety while still remaining compact.
Interesting features are the rail-mounted damper to simplify fuel system plumbing, and the retaining clip that is keyed to keep the injectors perpendicular to the rail so the spray pattern remains aimed at the intake ports.
I also updated the injector model to reflect the correct mini-timer connector (you know who you are).

Small update, I have heard that the custom fittings I designed for the intercooler have finally made their way through the queue at the machine shop, and that hopefully they will be done by the end of the week. They also came out at a much lower cost than expected (after the initial jig/fixture/code setup fees). Its the small custom parts that normally seem to get you, but I am thankful that this one actually came in at a reasonable price when ordered in as small a volume as 5-sets. The fittings are a -16AN extended collar welded bulkhead fitting with an internal flare and locating landing.... something that just didnt exist. These fittings allow enough flow to support fluid transfer inline with the 500+ hp level the 2.6L HPS will easily achieve, as well as making the intercooler cartridge both field installable and serviceable
Bell Intercoolers is currently fabricating the prototype cartridge. As soon as the fittings are done, they will be shipped to TX where they will be welded to the assembly. There is hope that an assembled manifold may make it for show and tell at Third Coast.
I can confirm the 2.8 can fit on a 928, but I cant see any reason going beyond the 2.6L
The efficiency with the new units made by HPS are higher than the older Autorotors. If someone really wanted to try one, I could modify a manifold to fit, but the intercooler core would be undersized. You would need to look into stealing the fuel cooler to actively chill the intercooler fluid.
I was just browsing through my old website and just came to realize i have had the supercharger on my car now for just over 10 years!! The picture on my home page is dated as 10-20-04!! Where does the time go?

Here are the first prototypes of the intercooler fittings. There are a couple changes that need to be made, looks like the machine shop had trouble reading my prints and models.... or just had a bad day in CAM. The bulkhead fittings came out OK, but the nuts and specifically the oring lands are not close to my specifications. I should be able to move forward wit the weld fittings though, and hopefully Bell can get a prototype intercooler cartridge for me soon.
448 rwhp...442 rwTQ...and after looking at a dyno video that was in 2007. I have since upgrade to 42lb injectors, Sharktuned it and improved the airflow into the MAF. I really should go get it done again...but im sure im north of 450 now??

cant wait to see it all in "metal" eventually.
Makes you appreciate what DR as well as Andy went through initially to get it all to fit and actually work! no cad stuff then. I was working with foam board mockups and clay!
