Great info, thanks. I'm going to take a bunch of pics of my key 'for insurance'. I'm going to have Tony Euganeo of Philadelphia make a set of spares for me since he's pretty close by. He can do a 'genuine Porsche' lighted head for $60 or two keys w a non-porsche head for $40. I know Tony has cut keys at the Frenzy in the past.

His contact info is:
Tony Euganeo
501 Folcroft Ave
Sharon Hill, PA
19079
Phone: 610-461-0519

Not trying to convince anyone not to go to keys4classics, sounds like a great service, just letting you know Tony's contact info since he's done keys for 928's before and I've misplaced his contact info at least once before.

Steve, how long did it take to receive them after you got the last good photo to them? I ordered mine a few weeks ago and they said the pics were good, but don't know when to expect them or inquire about them.

Thanks!

BTW, just got my wheel lock keys from Australia today. They both work just fine.

It took a little longer with this order than with my master keys. Maybe Stuart's got extra business by now, or maybe it had something to do with President's Day postal holiday. Stuart's e-mail confirming the picture quality was on 2-18 IIRC. I paid through his secure site maybe a day or two later.

I'm still a very satisfied customer.

Stuart and I had a bit of e-mail back-and-forth after he reviewed the pictures I sent. I would guess it was no more than 3 days after our last exchange that I got an e-mail confirming the keys had shipped. I received the them about 10 calender days later...shipped on a Friday and arrived on Tuesday a week later. Most of my shipments from the US arrive in about 6 working days, so this is great action from Australia.

...and you call yourself a shark owner? You haven't lived until you've lost the key and nearly had a heart attack trying to find it as the figure $2000 keeps popping up in your head!

Anyone know if this company stocks and will cut the blanks that fit into the lighted key heads? I have key heads without keys. Thanks.

I don't know, but you can ask them. Don't see why you could not send them your blanks and have then cut.

E-mail address I used was: sales at keys4classics.com

His website says he is currently not cutting 928 keys. Is this out of date?

Oh, I see he is offering photo cut on eBay for both alarm/non-alarm. Cool.

Bill;
He certainly did some for me two weeks ago.

I think this means that he cannot cut them from code alone. He needs a key or photo to duplicate from. The info they provided on the 928 process referred to the inability to cut from code as well. Obviously a question they must get often enough to warrant a specific note on their website.

Got mine today!! I ordered two sets of the long alarm key and wheel lock key and all of them work beautifully (now, if only my clutch weren't on the kitchen table, this might be even more fun!!!)

One less thing to stress over.

Right you are. He has cut and mailed one for my 89 already from a photo. Now, if I can only find the lost keys for the 79!
