And here is the pinnacle of our exhiliration this weekend. Sterling, you are a phenomenon. Thank you Marc (Buttman) White and Teri Kniebel, Jeannie and everyone who made this event an unforgettable part of our lives. John Holdsworth, thank you so much for so kindly bringing those very special books all that way at no profit.

What a fun weekend this was! My thanks goes to Marc White, Teri Kniebel and everybody else who was involved in making thiis event happen and so much fun!
Now I can put a lot more faces and names together. It is just so much more fun to see people in person than to argue and fight with them on a message board...
We saw lots of beautiful cars, including three Euro GTS models. One of them was totally unmolested, as it was not federalized. It was great to meet my fellow countryman and -woman!
Today was the group shot at the top of the parking garage, and a meeting at the dyno shop. Marc White flaunted his "look-at-my-butt" shorts - an advanced fashion design with a hint of punk-style influence.
Seeing the cars perfom was lots of fun until we heard a loud explosion while Louis Ott was backing out of the shop's yard. Within seconds, we saw smoke and huge flames coming out of his engine compartment. Marc White was there first, trying to pop the hood. Thanks to the flames he won't have to shave his legs for a while...
Fortunately, there were enough fire extinguishers handy to contain and put out the fire quickly, and Louis got great help in cleaning up the corrosive mess. However, the most amazing part came when Louis tried starting the engine - and it fired right up. Despite a lot of melted plastic in the engine compartment, the car was driveable.
I'm sure someone will comment in more detail on the cause of the fire and what you should not try on your 928...

Sounds like it was a blast as usual!
I'm gonna de-top this one, but feel free to post OCIC stuff and pics into one of the current OCIC aftermath topics.
