So who is passing through the Kansas City area sometime Friday afternoon?
Four years ago for the 2000 OCIC, we joined 4 or 5 sharks coming through on I-70. According to my records (glad I archive old e-mails!), we met at a rest stop around the 212 mile marker around 2:00 PM.
This time, there might be a couple other sharks besides ours that could join a caravan, too.
BTW, for those of you passing through Missouri on I-70, have fun. We just went to St. Louis over the weekend and I-70 in Missouri is as crappy as ever. But you'll probably like the Kansas Turnpike when you get there!

Bad news/Good news
So...bad news.....my GT was making some serious valve train noise this evening. Took a look under the hood..and one of the cam cover bolts was loose..easy fix right..well..ends up..this cam cover bolt..goes into the cam chain tensioner...and I peer through the cam cover bolt hole and see that the lower bolt on the actual cam chain tensioner was missing.must have backed out....no time to dig into it before we leave tomorrow am...so The good news.....I didn't break down on the way...and thanks to Adam B...I do have a ride..but the GT...won't be making the trip....
See you all on Friday..

In Columbia, Mo this a.m.
Ed, you're right I-70 is a TRAIL. Rough and very busted up, what is up with that?! We're getting ready to get back on the road and will be through KC around 11:00 a.m. probably too early to hook up at the rest stop. Should be in Wichita by 2:00 p.m.

Hallett was a super time (a bit of rain but that doesn't stop us) and everyone had a super time at the reception. 928s and their owners RULE!
Tech session and car show on Saturday. For those who aren't in Wichita, you're missing it!!

Just made it back from Wichita, decided to cut out after the Century II show, as we had some personal committments back in KC. What a blast, tho!
Y'all are a great group of folks, and I thank you for the hospitality you showed Lisa and myself, even tho we showed up in a 968. We plan on showing up next time in a shark.
Regards,

Just got back from the great 928 event in Wichita!
(I apologize in advance if the quality of the photo I am uploading is poor. First time I have done it using my new camera.)

the roads are safe again
We, too, are now home after an incredible weekend with the 928 OCIC! If we were wearing hats, we'd tip them to Marc and Teri and all the others involved in the makings.
Catching up to the Hallett group on the I-35 was an exciting adventure we won't soon forget. The Texas caravan home, although smaller, was nearly as much fun -- if it hadn't a been for the stinking mini-vans!
We met so many fabulous personalities and saw so many to-die-for 928s, we now have perma-grins on our faces. Hope ya'll made it home safe (without any more yellow souvenirs John and Adam!) Hopefully we'll be able to attend the next OCIC convention as well.

I will never miss another one. I met some of the most wonderful people I have ever met in my life, this weekend. It was truly like being with family. Here are some defining moments ....
