Hi Jay, Nicole and others we've recently "met" on this site. Thanks to all the support most of you showed, and the personal "Einladung" from Nicole, Schocki and Schocked have made arrangements to join you for the OCIC weekend fun. We're leaving North Texas (I-44) around 1 p.m. on Friday and plan to catch up with the others in Hallett (or somewhere else?). Please contact us for caravaning purposes: 940-642-3030. We're looking forward to it!
Schocki
P.S. Jay, if we print your post and promise to become registered users, is the beer still on you?

While I was driving my beast to and from San Francisco, my beast nagged that it wants to go to Kansas, but also complained that the AC clutch bearing hurts.

Well, I have already bought the ticket and can't spend six days on the road. So I'll be there with lots of little 928s, rather than one big one...

See you all in Kansas!

Is this slick or what?

Note that since we have so many trophy designations we may *enter* other cars at will or select cars to be judged... a word to the wise.

Help us position cars inside the convention center by leaving your keys in the car or giving us (Marc, Teri or Jenny) your cell number should we need to move your car. Maybe list it on the info sheet we have for each car as well.

Note small square pads will be provided to go under the tires when parking in the convention center.

Jenny Clark will be staffing a convention desk at the Hyatt near the front desk starting around 3pm Friday (We'll be at the track).

There will be car washing and supplies under the convention center Friday (starting around 3-4pm) and Saturday morning. Note we are planning on washing cars and can start moving cars into Century II around 5pm Friday until midnight and again at 7am Saturday morning (before the tech session at 8am). We'll have coffee and breakfast at Mo's shop. All 928s need to be in the convention center by noon. We want every 928 inside the convention center!

Note that after the Saturday Concours and Century II indoor 928 show, we will head in a caravan to reserved parking at the Automobilia Street Party. This happens at 5pm, and we need to stick together as the streets are losed downtown and we will have escorts to get us in place. You may pleave your car there until it breaks up around midnight, then some "go cruising!" and some go home or to the Hyatt and drink. At any rate we have arranged complimentary covered parking in the Hyatt parking garage, just mention it's comp by the 928 Owners Club.

The dragstrip didn't get enough takers to make it work so Sunday morning we have the group picture atop the Hyatt parking garage at 9am (be early!) then the dyno starts at 10am or so, 2011 S. Washington.

928ers ROCK!

Marc
p.s. You track hounds be sure to bring a long sleeve t-shirt, long pants and flat shoes, like leather tennis shoes or similar. See you at Hallett!

Man it's really cool talking to all the people who are now starting to head towards Wichita. Talked to Jon Holdsworth from England last night and he and the wife are driving Jay Wellwood's new 968 across country from California to the OCIC for him. Last night they were just outside of the Grand Canyon having crossed through Death Valley earlier in the day. Talked with Jay Kempf who is departing Vermont early this evening. Exchanged an e-mail with Heinrich who is headed out from Seattle soon. Talked to Dave and Jeannie Roberts who will be bringing their two 928 from western NC. Can't wait to meet up with my old frinds and meet up with lots of familiar people who I haven't had the pleasure to meet in person yet.

Best Regards, and see you all in Wichita!

JE, ... I am so looking forward to finally meeting you and some other very good 928 friends I have never physically met Apparently we will be on FRS 7.0 for the trip. I'll also have a CB, I may stay on 9 mostly.

Hey all, I live in Wichita. If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to ask me. My email is below. I had a 928 Weissach and always visit here, but now I have a Ferrari. It is white, so let me know if you see me there. I sure hope there are some 928s for sale....I really miss mine! Oh yeah....if anyone needs a chiropractor after the drive....please don't hesitate to give our clinic a call. We are not far from the hotel. Ian

Jay,

I'll be there with you in the pits at Hallett. Won't be able to make it to Wichita though. Didn't make it there in 2000 but my silber beast did. That's another story.

Bingo!!! You betcha!!!

3 things to keep in mind (i.e. read the fine print)....

1) Be a rennlister (no "user" status will due)

2) Bring a copy of this thread on paper (preferrably with you replying to it)

3) Be in Wichita Friday night

That's it -

Let the games begin!!!
