Damn drivers side power window is stuck again. I can hear the motor trying to move. I've had it in and out so many times. It work for a days then stops.
Any hints?

replace the the motor, I have had a few of them as well,
motor replacement usually fixes the issue.

I can attest no need to pull the transmission to remove the torque tube. Just undo the transmission mount bolts and slide it back.
No need to remove the clutch assembly either. 17mm on a swivel is enough to undo the top bolts on the bell housing side. Start to out about 2 hours. I took my sweet time. The TT did get hung up on the transmission coupler. Just spread it a bit and shaft slid out.
The car kinda looked like a horny horse for a while.

whats a transmission coupler?
If your referring to the input collar on the trans axle please be very careful here.
NOTE be very careful when unbolting the TT from the trans axle,
any side loading of the driveshaft into this input collar can snap off one of the fingers that are under the clamp,
this is actually the 5th gear,and once that happens then the trans will need to have 5th gear replaced.
Also note that the driveshaft can also be bent by letting the TT weight side load it as it is removed/installed from the trans axle.
The TT should be slid perfectly straight into/ out of the trans axle .
Spinning the driveshaft and observing the opposite end should show a bent a driveshaft.

Got the bearings done in TT installed. Ran out of day light so I'll finish it on Friday. Painted the heat shields. Will wash and paint the mufflers too

I counted my heat shields with the Hi Temp Ceramic Infused paint from Auto Zone.

From what at read heat shields rarely get very hot so just some good quality rattle can silver is good. I did it before on a 944 with good results. The muffler will get high temperature exhaust paint flat black.

Just painted the two rear heat shields last week.
I used this product: VHT Flameproof™ Coating -- High Heat Coating (vhtpaint.com)
Flat silver.
I used a steel wire brush on a drill to remove all the Cosmoline and the little bit of rust.
Washed everything with a degreaser and rince everything well.

Btw I forgot to mention when installing the TT to put the front in first then rear by sliding the transmission back.
I tried back in first and failed miserably several times.
Also I found the front and rear most bearing carriers so hard to install. Especially the rear. I couldn't get it to its original position. The vibration damper and center bearing carrier slid in without much drama.
Greased up the shaft and slid it in back first of course. Only minor adjustments were needed to aligned the pinch bolt/clamp/shaft cut outs.

Topped it up and now it runs but poorly. It has a few misses. I pulled all the spark plug leads and only half of them made a difference. It did that before but cleared up after a few minutes but now it continued even when warm. Occasionally it was smooth out when I revved it but when it idle settles it goes back to the rough running.
