Great work Rob. youve come a loooooong way.
I see the car was purchased from Mitsuwa Motors, way back when Porsche did not have dealerships in Japan.
Maybe thats a good lead to obtain documentation/history on the car? (thats if you even care LOL)...she looks great and is running fine..theres nothing you havent replaced or refurbished so far...In my books, shes fine...

It never stops with these 928s, right? always something breaking...

I do like this car and plan to keep it a while, finances permitting.
Btw is there a quick and easy way to check head gaskets?

Something like this will find most exhaust leaks into the coolant system;

WTF the idle issue came back.
After changing the coil it was running fine then intermittent the idle would drop then it recovered
Yesterday it started and idled smoothly for about 10mins then the idle dropped and stayed low like before. It's running on half cylinders.
Any suggestions?
