The Most Beautiful Car Ever Made

That is one choice ride; blue pasha is the ****.
I love threads like this...they make me want to go out and drive it...even if it is 95 degrees outside. More times than not...I do.

Wasn't the "Original Shark' introduced in 1968 by BMW? The e9 model, badged as a 2800 CS or 3.0 CS from 1968 - 1975 ('74 in the US). I owned 2 in the 70's and 80's, and a third for 5 years in the 2010's. Certainly one of my favorites: Here's the last one:
Guy who bought it from me exported it to Japan.

Of course, I might be biased. Here’s mine coming back from restoration.

I think the non-batmobile CSL's are impossible to beat for their combination of aggressiveness and classical lines. Of course they rust if you sweat in them and survivability in a rollover is near zero but you can't have everything.

This one also has an outlaw look to it. Rare paint in showroom condition, pasha on aftermarket race seats with a MOMO steering wheel that enhances the look. I think euro's w/o rubstrips have the best look. (they need to settle the front a bit) ..................... Our cars have the best curves, even the door shape is great.

Couldn't get the oil filter canister past the front sway bar. Had to turn the canister upside down, with oil going everywhere, clean out the canister, change the filter insert and O-ring, turn the thing back over, and pray that the O-ring stayed in place.
And BMW had a hell of a time, through this period of time, figuring out that the cooling system requirements were substantially different in 105 degree weather versus German weather.
Seemed like these things were always one heat wave away from needing another head gasket.....
