For what it's worth, I like the white in the interior; I feel like it really opens up the space. All of my other cars are black interior and, while I love them, it's my 928 with a linen/gray (?) interior that just feels the roomiest.

I'd vote for going further, but this is really just me trying to live vicariously through your good work; what about incorporating some Pasha?

The car will be lovely, no matter what, but I think it's great that you're putting so much thought into it since you'll be living with it and want to love it.

Cheers

Thanks for the input.

I've decided to stay mostly black. Already started working on carpeting the panels - (carpet arrived this morning).

Finished the center console side panels tonight. Turned out good and I've made them very easy to remove for access to the wiring. For the back screw I'm actually installing a snap - male end threaded into the old screw hole. Waiting on some long post caps to arrive Friday or Saturday and a manual setting tool to add that side to the panels, but I'll probably just wait until I'm doing the pod, center console, door panels, and stereo to pull them out again. For the mid-side attachment, I installed an M5 nutsert into the bracket, then a threaded stud with a nut I locked down against the bracket. Then I threaded on another lock nut and a washer at the correct distance to make the side panel sit vertical instead of being angled in like most are. Those are inside the panel and it rests against them. The panel is then secured by a simple nut on the outside that's flush with the end of the stud.

Future removals on the drivers' side will be 1 nut, popping the snap, and 1 screw at the top front. On the passenger side, parcel shelf removal with the wingnuts I installed, 1 snap, and 1 nut.

Going to spend some time driving it now while I wait on the new stereo equipment to arrive for the rest of the interior project and while I clean up the rest of the new to me used parts I'll be installing, like a new center console, vents, dual wideband AFR gauge where the clock used to be, etc.

The stereo is going to be a simple looking Sony receiver with true high power MOFFSET amp putting out 45 or 50 RMS power to 4 channels. Door woofers are 4" Focal Access versions with 3" MTX tweeters hooked to the Focal crossover. Rear panels will get Focal 6.5" component speakers like those in the Spyder. Simpler install with no amp that should still sound quite good.

Also need to hardwire power for a Gentex mirror with Auto-dimming & Homelink and radar detector. All this stuff will come off a second fuse box that has one side for constant 12v power and another for switched 12v power where that comes straight off the battery and goes through an 80 Amp relay.

Showed her a little love today with a bath. Left the lights up so I could put in some upgraded H4 headlight bulbs.

Totally agree. They'll be sold once I get the phonedials I'll be using custom refinished. The rears are the 16x8 et 23.3 951 versions and they'll fit perfectly with no spacer. The fronts are the 928 fitment 16x7 et 65 ones for proper steering geometry.

I'm actually going to have 2 spare 928 16x7 phone dials I'll be putting up for sale if anyone needs a pair. I bought a full set of 4 and then found the 951s I wanted for the rear as individuals, so now have 6 wheels for the car, and it's not a dually

Put a pair of 'throw away' tires on them and use them for burnouts.

The tires on them are 13 years old, so check. They did make a successful 3 hour round trip to Atlanta yesterday to pickup a guitar amp for my son who has his first electric guitar.

Car ran great other than it wanting to catch into 2nd gear if I don't double clutch it. Need to check the shifter ball cup as I've replaced all the hydraulics already and bled it multiple times and ways. The pedal feels smooth and solid and the slave arm is moving the 17mm its supposed to.

I don’t think our old transmissions and clutch systems will tolerate burnouts too long
