Default Hotel bookings

Historically these should be $300 a night rooms for this weekend and a nice hotel. Don't know why they are at this price but it is a great price. Also this Property is large enough to hold our group.
90% of our Peachstate PCA members stay in the Jacksonville area during WERKS @ Amelia Island.
Its convenient and prices on the Island get stupid expensive.
Please don't feel like we're being pushy about the hotel.
This is exactly why Trey is the event coordinator, he secured a great hotel that fits everyone's budget.

For sure, Andy. Thanks for the update. Excited your wife is joining - I believe there will be quite a few and the Amelia Island/Fernandina Area is a cool place at anytime but definitely during this weekend.

I also love to have accurate numbers even at this stage.

If we need to rally to come to Sarasota to help you get ready... that's what we'll have to do

I booked a room but am tentative for now. Thanks for the heads up on the hotel.

I'm not sure whether I'll have that weekend free from work and unfortunately won't know for sure until mid-February. Looks like I'm about to burn $50 for the C&C to save my spot "just in case".

Good call. The hotel is definitely a sure thing (it will get more expensive and the rate you get now allows you to cancel if plans change) for a GOOD TIME! The "Application" to C&C is exactly an application. They can at any juncture say they have enough of a particular make or model; that's why if it is important to someone - please apply right away via this link --

DON'T worry - if you do not get accepted into the C&C, it is a GREAT time spectating and supporting those who do OR I will have some alternate local fun runs for people who prefer to get out and see the area, which is coastal, historic and beautiful!

Honestly, the real event is all of us getting together. We have a great hotel as home base but people really need to book like islaTurbine has!

Everything you want to know about hotel is in post 29 or at this link.

PM me at any point if you have any questions

Hotel booked and C&C registered. A long way off and hope everything holds together.

Good Morning - Start of a new week!

We've only been up and running with the announcement for this over one week and the level of interest is STAGGERING!

As of this writing, we have 23 928s which are committed. We have an additional 10 928s who are a strong maybe and we expect to have 40+ adults in attendance!

It's important to note this event is NOT affiliated with PCA and is not a sanctioned PCA event.

I also need to clarify that we are looking to have 928s participate in the Werks Reunion (on Friday) and the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Cars & Coffee (on Saturday). I think folks thought they might be entering the Concours. If I confused you, I apologize. The Concours has high 6 figure/low 7 figure automobiles on display. You can pay to be a spectator at the event (and it is a neat event).

The great news is if your 928 is a survivor, a driver, a showcar or some combination, you SHOULD try and submit an application for the Cars & Coffee. This is about having 928s turn out in a number where they get recognized. The same is true of Werks Reunion. When they open the registration in December, Scott (RSMartin) and I will be encouraging everyone to enter the "Judged" portion. If we get more than 10 928s being judged, I think we get our own class. The judging for Werks is not "white glove, concours" judging. It's fun and if you're not wanting to do that, we'll make sure the PCA creates a special section in the Corral just for us.

Two days of hanging out with 928s parked on Golf Courses in Florida --- what could be better

Some of you have been great about messaging me with questions. PLEASE KEEP IT UP!

You should really book your hotel (link) and really apply to be accepted in the Cars & Coffee (link)

We genuinely have the potential of having many dozens of 928s but PLEASE spread the word. I know the Buckeye Landsharks are organizing as is the Texas Crew. I heard from Pete (elgreco) that he's going to work on the Long Island/NY gang and I expect the Carolina 928s are considering this strongly, as well.

It's going to be a great Rendezvous 928 : Sharks Circling Amelia Island event because of the PEOPLE first and the events we participate in second.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

I hope to attend, can't say for sure but if my situation holds I will book beginning of Sept. I
I'll drive from Colorado, see some country and try to enter in the CC and Werks. Sounds like a fantastic event!
