Noted. Thank you for letting us know!

We're going to make this an exceptional event for ALL.

I very much encourage continuing to apply and getting onto a "waitlist". Scott and I are working with a number of people to ensure Werks Reunion and C&C at the Concours are the best they can possibly be for all of you good enough to make the trip to the event!

Default Official Reply Regarding Cars & Coffee

This is the official reply from the Executive Director of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Cars & Coffee. It's possible we've maxed out our number but it sounds optimistic that they may make more room

As you correctly surmised we have waitlisted some of the 928’s that have applied and will be waitlisting any additional 928’s we receive at this time. It is possible and even likely that we will accept additional 928’s but at this point, to keep the show diversified, we are holding at the current accepted amount. We will revisit the number in the near future.
REGARDLESS - please do not consider the C&C at the Concours as anything other than one facet of the Rendezvous Event. If this was the only thing going on, we definitely WOULD NOT have made this a Rendezvous Event.

PS - Keep Applying. If nothing else, it will put pressure on them to accept more!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how the parking format works for the C&C? Is it like your typical local version where everything is mixed up and parked together or is it more like a traditional show where things are separated by marque?

I prefer the mixed up version as it guarantees that I will run across cool cars that I otherwise wouldn’t have seen.

Here is the 2019 layout for the Amelia Island Cars & Coffee at the Concours :

All of the Porsche vehicles are in the same area (red). The neighbors were exotics (black) and mercedes benz (blue).

I couldn't hardly contain my excitement when the Executive Director informed me this morning he had considered our passionate request(s) and he was going to allow cars in who were waitlisted, with our number of acceptances increasing from 13 to 22. TWENTY-freakin-TWO!

For those completely unfamiliar with C&C at Amelia, this DOES NOT happen! I still encourage people to apply BUT you HAVE to let me know you are waitlisted. If any of the 22 who are accepted back out and they tell me (and not C&C), I'll make sure those who have applied get in ... First Come, First Served.

I know folks like @drooman , @vetter59 , @RSMartin , @FLYVMO have been to the C&C before and can attest to how crazy it is we've got nearly 2 dozen 928s in this part of the weekend events.

Great work everyone! Get those hotel rooms booked. Keep an eye for further announcements and be ready to apply for Werks Reunion when it opens up!

WOO HOO!!!!!

For all those who might NOT be accepted (maybe because you haven't applied yet), we are going to rally whoever is attending as a spectator to come out as a unified group and park in one place. You are going to want to see the Greatest Showing of 928s that this event (and I'd argue any concours venue) has EVER seen.

If you look at the above layout, the C&C on Saturday (just one part of our event) covers essentially three holes of the Golf Course (Holes 1, 2 and 10) at the Ritz Carlton. The BEST parking area is the 11th hole and is shown below on the parking map as Lot B.

Lots B and C are $40. Entering as a show car in the C&C show is $50. There is NO cost to enter the C&C as a spectator (other than parking fees). Consider still filling out an application for the C&C because you NEVER know what might happen

Congrats to the current crop of "Acceptees" .... Let's keep focusing on the entire Rendezvous 928 - Sharks Circling Amelia Island Weekend!

Default Field placement

We are backed up to a food/beer stand so at some point almost everyone will be passing by to view our cars.
As far as being spread out this course is very well laid out and easy to see all the models .
DO NOT forget forget no signs unrelated to your car are allowed. A "for sale" sign will get you banned for life.
car club insignia is acceptable. PCA 928OC 928sRUS decal etc..
