Yup- well specifically "idle"- maybe his idle speed is 5000 rpm?

Excellent job sir. Amazing product.
Thanks!
I work really hard at making pieces that actually do what they are supposed to do.
It's nice when someone notices how good they actually are.

Yes.

People tend to not notice things that deteriorate, over time.
It's the same thing with motor mounts. Replace a bad set with new and the customer is invariably amazed at how smooth these cars are supposed to be.
Same thing with the damper...people just assume that things should "buzz" at different RPMs.

In general, if I make it, Roger stocks it.
If he is out, I can/do drop ship, for him.

I don't see damper listed on website, or perhaps I missed the item but what's the cost?

No surprise!
It has been over 10 years since I've even tried to work on my website. There are dozens and dozens of things not listed. I keep talking about it...when Mary points out that working on the Website might create more people wanting things....and we are always behind, now.

I sell the damper assemblies for $695. While I'm guessing that Roger does the same....that is completely up to him.

The actual damper is an ATI part (rebuildable). I make the hub to fit a 928 crankshaft and furnish the hardware.

It smoothed out my GT very noticeably. Nice product! Every 928 needs one by now.

I'm doing a complete water pump, TB and PorKensioner job on my GTS right now after 10 years. Mileage from 2009 on the pump and PorKensioner is about 40 kmiles or 64000 kkm. The TB was changed after 5 years and replaced with a Gates unit.
Got my new ATI harmonic balancer in the garage already, nice piece and very high quality (like all things from GB). I understand that the Torx bolts have to be installed with Loctite. No problem.
What are the torque values for the bolts? I can remember that there are two different values for the different sizes but no values on or in the package?

I don't use Loctite...those bolts seem to "grow roots" and are never even remotely loose. I lightly oil the threads and torque them, only.

Look on the white circular decal on the front of the damper. The torque values are printed, there, for future reference.

Any photos of this exquisite dampener. Probably should have done one dieing my engine swap but mine looked to be in good condition with any cracking so just reused it.

How could one potentially distinguish the “buzzing” or slight vibrations coming from a bad dampener as described here vs. those from a slightly off set of torque tube bearings and their associated rubber pieces? When accelerating to 2.5-3k RPM in neutral, say.

It's just a custom hub that an existing product on the market bolts to..

But, here is a thread that shows photos inside the motor from a failing/failed/aged OE harmonic unit.

Thank you Greg found the values (I'll read the fine print next time first, I guess) . You said to oil them slightly which is fine with me. Any objections to use some anti seize instead?
