Thanks, Scott. I'll definitely keep in mind! Minimally might try to meet up with you or others in route. Would be great if folks posted any waypoints/dates for their routes.

I booked my room with Big Dave this afternoon. Last visited the badlands 46 years ago while based in Minot, ND.

Looking forward to see you guys again.
David

Yes, and if you want to swing over west a bit into Wyoming. Devils Tower is a very interesting formation. You may even seen it featured in a movie a couple of decades ago!

By the way - is the Crazy Horse monument completed? Last time I was there - about 15 years ago when I was driving a 928 S4 home to PA from Portland OR, it was still a 'work in progress'.

Shall we bring some climbing gear and top out Devils Tower? Or just free climb it...

It would be a fun spot to photograph the Rendezvous coins!

Gary, Crazy Horse is still a work in progress.

Devil's tower is a good drive from here ( about an hour and a half) Makes a good run, and a nice stop to see the sights.

I found some Jack Daniels Single Barrel yesterday made exclusively for the Sturgs Rally last year. Bottle is engraved with the 79th Sturgis Rally, and has a nice metal label around the bottle. And some decent Scotch . The Single Barrel will be a door prize for someone that shows up.

Uh oh... minor surgery on the shark this weekend. Something is squeaking so I’ve removed the fans and looking at the alt and pwr steering pump as culprits. I pray it’s not the WP or Porkensioner. Goal is to have it fixed in time for some at home testing time before this long drive.

Just a friendly reminder that rooms need to be book prior to 30 days out or they will not honor the rate. Regular rate was 189.00 a night and I worked with them to get it down to 129.00 a night. substantial savings for the group.

Hope to see everyone soon.

Harvey

Harvey,

I have to cancel this trip due to back surgery in July. I haven't cancelled my hotel reservations yet. Would this help anyone?

John
