The raffle car sold (err traded) from my friend that won it to another friend, after which it promptly blew a head gasket after replacing the interior, new wheels/tires, new door handles, etc.
We took it apart, fixed a few things I didn't like, got rid of lots of that nasty overspray in the engine bay, and am waiting for nicer weather to put it back together.
It will be coming to 944 Fest this year, the new owner certainly became a 944 fanatic pretty quick, despite being disappointed in the straight line speed after having so much left seat time in my 951

i'll be there...i promise! I'll have the hood painted, the new trans in, and...the wiring harness touched up by then...ready for the track. Oh and i need to get the manual rack in!

I am in for this year... maybe... too many irons in the fire, and June is too far off for me to plan now for it..
BUT
If I do make it again, I am torn with rushing the 951 back together for it, or bringing the refreshed N/A again this year... I do know I will be staying in the hotel again!
If the 951 makes it up, I will make it up for Friday track day...
And scott, just because you DIDN'T include a pic of my car.. I will now refer to it as the "mysterious number 8"

I loved having the raffle car around! it will be great to have it back!
On a related note, is this something that will be done again? i certaintly wouldn't mind if it came down to purchasing raffle tickets or a dollar to draw on it or something.... just a thought

Well, what do you expect when SOMEONE brings their car with a cracked rim in on a trailer, and has to go shopping in the country side with their old man on the way!
If I go, I'm down for a caravan.. if I have the 951 ready, it will be trailered...

There is a good chance I will FINALLY have my car done by the time this event rolls around. I expect travis @ rennbay doesn't believe. I have my girlfriend's brother helping me, and one of our litigation support guys recently moved back to DC who wrenches on Porsches, so I think I should have it running by end of march, and sorted with boost controller / engine broken in etc.. by end of may.
