Wow! Looks great! Your meticulous nature is surely paying off!

Maybe a closer shot of the throttle cable; the throttle-cam is a bit difficult to see.

Isn't that redundant?!

electrical/DME-like problems no doubt?

hah ther triangle thing is an art project my old room mate left behind... i call it the torture device

and no... the problems with the VWs have just been things like a voltage drain somewhere and random oil/coolant leaks because the black one hadnt been started in a few years. the red one is getting somewhat of an overhaul for the winter. its my girlfriends toy car... its fun and verrrry fast

they are supercharged form the factory google corrado g60 if you're wondering

This was a cool thread, any news done ?
I was wondering what u get with plugging alot of the fule lines ?
love ur engine tho, im just getting starded overhauling mine. Think I will polish the parts and maybe collor the cam house and intakemanifoil like you did. Is ther a type of collor to use to get it to last alot of years ? Or is it just better to polish/chrome the parts ?

the project has been sitting for a month or so with no progress

all i really need is some fuel lines and some battery cable. just havent ordered them yet.

i powder coated almost everything. the things that i did polish i gave a coat of clear coat to keep it from oxidizing and junk.

im not sure what your question about plugging fuel lines was about? i didnt plug any fuel lines... i think you must be talking about the vacuum lines. i deleted a lot of them because they all just tie into the evap/emission system and i have gotten rid of all of that. the only vacuum lines i need now are the ones that let the fuel through the dampener/regulator for the fuel

not if u don't care about the emissions system. only 3 lines are needed. one to the fuel pressure regulator/dampener, other to the brake booster, and one from the j boot to the air oil seperator.

i do suppose that the vacuum reservoir would be another preferred component to add...but i lost mine long ago

i have just one Y shaped line on the whole engine. it goes from the throttle to a T that splits to the FPR and the dampener
